Seems the Conservative spin on Rochester will be it's Labour's fault for losing a safe Conservative seat to UKIP.

Lol vote Labour get UKIP basically.

You couldn't make it up. Schoolboys.

You know reckon that article claiming Cameron managing by chaos gets more on the money each day.

Lots of fun ahead.

Result at 4am. Not going to stop up tbh. Too much to do tomorrow.

Thornberry: It was a house covered in British flags. I’ve never seen anything like it before. My point is that it’s a remarkable image of a house completely covered in flags. There’s three of them.

Hmmm British flags?
She should check out the Daily Fail website more often.

Probably would give her a seizure.

Clear evidence she's a) a fkwit b) egregiously disingenuous c) pays no attention to anything during any football tournament in which England are playing.

This is exactly the sort of asinine, patronising, metrocentric 'Islington Intellectual' bks which has caused Labour to become as irrelevant as they have in the last 4 years. The sooner the current front bench of the opposition are culled the better for all of us, as this lot couldn't come up with an original thought if they tried.

She has now apologised. According to sources after a massive bking from Ed.

Which means he understood the inference and so did she.

Wonder how many she added to the UKIP vote tonight?

Even the Guardian has given this scathing comment on the situation - http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/nov/...

I couldn't disagree more. I would say that the longer the current Labour front bench stay in place, the better for all of us.

They are unelectable.

Meanwhile, Guido is on the case. Check out comments 20, and 39. Ouch!

I come from a very working class background and I would rather stick pins in my eyes than vote for Labour.
What really hacks me off is they have people voting for them in their millions and non of them have the slightest thing in common with each other.
I am convinced that in most Labour safe seats a chimp with a red rosette would probably still win.

Interesting post from Labour list.

If anyone believes that UKIP aren’t going to cost Labour seats that we need to win, this poll should be a sobering reality check…

A question on something I'm not sure about.

Rumours that exit poll results are being quietly leaked before polls close.

Now this is definitely illegal.

Could it be a ploy to declare the electoral equivalent to a mistrial?

Surely the person who suggested that is showing extreme paranoia / tin foil hattery?

The only chance of a disputed election will be if Conservative win and a thorough audit is carried out of its expenses and whether they have adhered to the £100k spend limit. They spent £97k in Clacton and promised an even bigger campaign for Rotherham and Strood plus an Open Primary.

I am sat here absolutely shocked and stunned after watching BBC News of all shows. It seems they could not find one person who was not voting UKIP in Rochester and Strood.

Political Revolution happening right here folks.

I must admit that I am a bit confused by the collapse in LibDem support. It seems to be less than 2%.

Is this because they are a bunch of backstabbers? I don't think so.

Is it because they are liars? Well Cameron has told some huge porkies, but the Conservatives are not in the doldrums.

Is it because they behave inappropriately with young boys? I'm sure that some Labour MP's may have exhibited the same behaviour.

As far as I can see, they haven't even covered up the sexual abuse of young, vulnerable, white girls.

Life is really unfair.

LibDem vote was made up almost entirely of 'protest' vote?

They have had no credible leaders or even potentials since Paddy pance down, they have either been drunk or a bit of a nonce.

I can see no future for them.
