Interesting prediction here - and not just plucked out of the air:

I know the traditional logic in FPTP is that second place is just first loser, but 2nd place in 70-100 seats would be quite an achievement. This would place UKIP as the main opposition party in a significant percentage of the UK and regionally in England strong against either the Cons or Labour in some key seats. Interesting times and hardly pipsqueak party material.
What say does an individual who comes second in a constituency vote have in parliament? Answer: None.

All your story confirms is that UKIP make a hung parliament and a Labour government more likely. That's one hell of a legacy for a party who're well to the right and likely to win less than 10 seats.

You keep referring to this. However you don't seem to care as much for the young girls who have been abused by Savile, Cyril Smith and all the other "celebrities".

For that matter you don't seem concerned about the girls abused by taxi drivers of other origins.

Why might that be?

And why are you only concerned for young white girls? Why did you type the word white in that first sentence?

There are nasty, evil people from all backgrounds, skin colours, hair colours and everything else. Concentrate on only one ethnic grouping and you are making exactly the same mistake as the Rotherham councillors, just in reverse.

You are very wrong to say that I have ignored the victims of non-Pakistini Muslim sexual predators. I have made several comments about the Liberal, Cyril Smith, for example.

In fact, If you consider the number of victims, then you would come to the logical conclusion that I was much more worried about non-Muslim Pakistini abuse of children.

So far, we know that there were at least 10,000 victims of these Pakistani Muslim taxi drivers. Cyril Smith and Jimmy Saville were evil bds, but their victims could be numbered in their hundreds.

And you ignore the victims of white taxi drivers such as David Perry. Perhaps the real issue is one of taxi drivers and there is just a preponderance of asian taxi drivers because that is a job that immigrants can easily get?

Actually Savile is now believed to have 1350 victims- just him alone. Let alone the other DJs.

Where is your campaign to ban Radio 1 DJs?

No. You explicitly state you are concerned with Pakistani Muslim perpetrators and white victims

Although I have mostly voted Labour in the past, no way do I want to see the present Labour shower occupy No.10.

However, there are TWO big flaws in the UK's first past the post voting system, one being could mean that an unequal shift of Tory voters to UK Independence Party delivers the Two Eds Nightmare scenario. Good ... bring on reform!

I do not think the shift will be unequal.

The other BIG flaw?

It is this ....

So UKIP should immediately pack up and shutdown as the Tory party is too fking hopeless to compete with a bunch of clowns and racists.

Now tell me where the problem lies.

My thoughts go to the traitors that facilitated this and the morons who don't see the problem.

The car image was notable to this non-kipper PHer, unlike the vacuous playground anti-UKIP drivel that followed above - which will increase UKIP support as usual. Nice work.

Quite TB, imagine the comments if the poster had promoted another party and the driver had been the living equivalent of the late Alan Kenneth Mackenzie Clark.

Remind me which party of a million cuts disposed of some fifteen thousand border control staff to save money and benefit the Nation ... as a whole ... ?

I am in favour of less Government at any level but only where it applies to less essential so called agencies and services.

It's slightly complicated that at the start of the process border control was within border agency. But essentially just on border control there has been a 22% reduction since Spending review 2010.

Only one party to blame for that. Home office generally is a disaster area. Elroy Blue on this thread and others keeps telling it how it is, but just gets lalala not listening types of response.

Yet there are commentators offering May in all seriousness as a successor to CMD. WTF? She's got nothing to offer apart from some expensive shoes. It would be (almost) another Miliband Moment, I say 'almost' as it would take somebody with a rare talent deficit level to get really close to Ed.

Well done for playing the "racist" card.

This is exactly what caused the problem in the first case.

Many people highlighted the issue, and they were ignored. Meanwhile tens of thousands of young girls were having their lives wrecked. It wasn't just the fact that many will never be able to form a relationship with a man, it is also the fact that they were led into being drug and alcohol addicts. They were also beaten and physically abused.

I am satisfied that the victims of Savile are being treated sympathetically, this does not appear to be the case in Rotheram. Recently, a 23 year old girl got arrested for racial abuse. This abuse occurred when she met a former abuser in the street. Of course, the abuser was not arrested.

Another girl walked into a police station in Oxford to complain about having being raped. She was covered in blood. She was sent on her way without any investigation taking place.

Playing the Racist card may have worked in the past, and as we see in Rotheram, it still works in some places, but its days are numbered.

You should be ashamed that you used this tactic.

I'm not sure. May is currently having to live in Cameron's shadow, as all cabinet ministers do. But I reckon she could be a very good party leader. I would certainly be much more likely to vote for her than for Cameron.

There was a very good article about her in the Guardian recently, it's worth reading

I'm tempted to say that if anything good about a Conservative MP appears in The Guardian then that seals their fate wink but it goes way beyond that. She hasn't handled the Home Office portfolio well and in my view she is unimpressive. I'd be no more likely to vote Conservative with her red Choos at the helm than with CMD's lime green tie. She resembles a Conservative equivalent to Jacqui Smith. At the very least, Philip had better keep his video hire receipts safe.
