I really do hate the press sometimes.
This article states that he has been identified, showing his picture.
It then goes onto say he hasn't been, but this is who they think it is.
Now if it does turn out he is, fair enough, but what if it's not?

Security "sources" thought it was him in August (article is from then too), but I believe options are being kept open now

Well, if he is not, I'm sure he will thank you for adding another thousand views of his face, the rag that did the amateur detective work that turned out not to be true can thank you for the free pr, and we can all thank you for another and several thoundands of pointless words speculating about stuff we know zero about.

Yes I had a crap day.....

That's a rather irresponsible article. It could potentially mean someone who looks similar, but completely unrelated, to get physically assaulted.

As a side note, they're wrong, it isn't him.

I'll save everyone a lot of hassle and just reveal it was Tony Blair wink

A few weeks ago a young Muslim kid attacked two policemen in Melbourne. He got shot dead.

Fairfax media (who publish The Age) had a picture of him all dressed up in a nice suit on the front cover of the next day's edition of several of its papers.

Except it wasn't him.....they'd got the wrong picture.

It looks like him, his half closed eyes, the kink in the neck, the sholders. Have his family been spoken to?

Oh too easy sir let find him capture him unmask him try him like the pathetic coward he is and then lock him away and forget about him. Let him spend the rest of his life knowing his is pointless and his cause is lost and everything he stood for was a waste. Maybe even deport him to the US or Japan as he was involved in the killings of Nationals from thoes countrys also.

Apparently of Kuwaiti origins

Surprised there seems to be no actual photo of him unmasked, as yet. Some worrying stuff about Westminster Uni as well it seems.

The coward will blow himself up before we get the chance to.

If he was caught alive I would love him to be tried in the USA not UK where he would be seen as a hero by a large amount of prisoners.

Well yes, but only if you're in Syria. Someone intent on doing him in is hardly going to spot a similar-looking guy in Maida Vale and think "ah, JJ must have popped back for a weekend break to stock up on Marmite and Yorkshire Tea, I'll 'av 'im", are they?

Yep look who have they giving a speach there today..

http://www.theguardian.com/education/2015/feb/23/u...

Haitham al-Haddad a Saudi Wahhabist who apparently condones homosexuality and gives advice on the correct way to carry out FGM.

I think you mean "condemns" homosexuality. Although yes, he's probably overcompensating and so far in the closet he's bumming Mr Tumnus in Narnia.

(hat tip Frankie Boyle).

The 2011 article about the guy's University.

"Fears that university has been infiltrated by Islamist extremists
A university has elected a student with links to Muslim extremism as president of the student union, prompting fears that it has been infiltrated by radicals."

These people are coming across as very dodgy

http://cageuk.org/article/youre-going-be-followedl...

Causeing ructions on twitter it seems, some of their comments quoted by the DT , seem to imply that Emwazi cutting people's heads off is everybody else's fault apart from his own.
