Turkey's figures didn't surprise me either. Two guys up the local pub holiday there most years and have just come back. They said the atmosphere has changed there. They were in a market and one of the stall holders heard they were English, made a clicking sound with his mouth and had his hand/fingers in the shape of a gun. One of the two guys I know turned round just to see him doing it.

I cant personally do much about it but, finanically I wont go near any shop that is Halal (Pizza express included!) or use any business that is Islamic owned.

Well, yeah. that's what they ordered. If they had wanted some tanks, they would have ordered Challenger 2s. But they wanted a platform for reconnaissance.

Have you been smoking crack? I take it you've never walked past an EDL demonstration in full flow? The sort of people you see there are not the sort you would entrust to any sort of weapon, or any sort of right or authority to act as a vigilante or paramilitary force. Mission creep is usually a probably with vigilante forces and the EDL would be extremely susceptible to wrongdoing. I think you missed the point being made.The most effective deterrent against and/or answer to,and probably the inevitable logical conclusion of,any successful concerted Islamist all out attack.In the form of a series of spectaculars involving large scale loss of life amongst the indigenous civilian population.Would be a friendy force which meets that threat head on playing by their rules not the PC rules of the government by way of total deniability on the part of the government.We've been there before in the case of the Black and Tan and trust me if push ever comes to shove we'll have to go there again.
