what I find really sad, about the state of the Entertainment "industry" in this country is my first thought was " I wonder what will come out of the woodwork after his death"

RIP

His son was the headmaster of my school, I'd always hoped we'd get a performance but it never happened.
RIP.

Sadly that says more to me about your mind set than the entertainment industry!

That was my first thought.

Hadn't realised what age he was.

Link doesn't work, but I'd imagine it's him doing the Green Cross Code. hehe

RIP Alvin.

Just heard sad news.

My mate, a drummer, was contacted by Alvin last year, he called his work place and said, 'hello it's Alvin Stardust here' and my mate said, 'yea right, what ever' 'no really, I'm Alvin Stardust' this went on for about two minutes until the penny dropped.

Alvin wanted to do a gig and needed a support act, and 'Quo Motion' a tribute Status Quo band was asked to play.

Here's to rock n roll, here's to you Alvin.drink

He used to pop into the office next door to mine near Horsham. My mate supplied his window blinds. A true gent. RIP
