I think our way is better. All that USA crap with ex-football players running alongside a tank is way over the top. All those saying Cameron deserves a slap are rather stupid. As if they would dare to stand up!
He's entitled to walk the streets like anyone else. A lot more voted for him than any of his armchair warrior critics. We should be proud that people in this country can go to social events and local events without Nato in attendance.
despite being no fan of the tories or cameron i agree wholeheartedly with this.

Thank you. Unfortunately others only see in a post every fourth word (certainly not the salient points) and those words that rile them. So attitudes and objectives are built on false premise. I have never voted for any government of which Cameron has been a member. Not because of Cameron himself but other political reasons rather than personal animosity to the man or cause. To me, however, he comes across as decent, hard working, as honest as the times allow, and under tremendous pressure. I wouldn't have his job at any price but I believe he is a trier. To seek his downfall politically is fair enough but to actually wish him harm is disgraceful and, thankfully, a minority view.

I was with you right up to the last bit. Sadly I think a great many people would wish him harm. He appears to be rapidly becoming the source of all the ill's of our fair land.

I don't understand how the great unwashed masses can forget Blair sending us to war, Brown and his dismal leadership or the general failure of Labour to manage our nations money. TBH I place that at the top of my list as the lack of monetary housekeeping was bordering on criminal negligence

I have my doubts. For one, and much to my shame, I've experienced a similar collision. I ran into someone while trying to catch a train in Maidenhead. Was mortified as I put the poor bugger on his arse and hurt us both. I'd imagine it would have looked very bad if caught on CCTV. Secondly I have a feeling every part of his story was checked out by Plod. By the time he was released they would have checked what time he left work (so not a doley like some said), where he was going, who was he meeting, what was his most likely route and what are the chances he knew DC's whereabouts. If all was verified and his versions of events hadn't the ring of truth he wouldn't have walked away consequence free.

While I don't know if he deliberately ran into DC or not, the perp did make himself sound like a complete fking bellend the way he was going on on Facebook/Twitter. He sounds like a prize tit.

His security has indeed been reviewed and one change already is to bring back his outrider team.

Would bringing back motorcycle out riders make much difference?

The guy jogged towards the pm, the body guard at the front didn't spot him left the pm to open the car door, the body guards at the side also didn't notice him.

How the fk you don't notice somebody running towards you when nobody else is running beats me.

No the outriders are not to stop errant joggers, it's just indicative that the jogger incident has contributed towards his whole security has been reviewed and the outriders' return is just one of several security changes. Presume that we will see other changes e.g. different or bigger team around him, next time he goes walkabout on foot near normal citizens, as well.

Could be that what is in mind is other potential nutters seeing how easy it was to get within blade-length of a prime target so they ought to put on a bigger show as a deterrent.

His age/type do that. Their status on Facial Page, Clitter, etc., commiserating with "friends" they will never meet, is how they measure the worth of their life.

US secret service haven't covered themselves in glory recently either, the intruder at the White House got a surprisingly long way into the building without being shot even once.

no harm has come to any of the nutters braking into the white house recently. one beat two dogs and he didnt even get an ass whooping ( should have been DRT for that frown). IIRC one actually got in a lift quite deep into the white house.

bear in mind though it should of been easier to secure the pm with what 5 body guards compared to a entire building with multiple entry points.
