Definitely not an accident. Was easier to avoid the PM than hit him. He ran directly towards him without veering.

Cameron was the only member of the group to see him and took a step back. I expect some reassignments will be in the post for some of that useless 'close' protection detail.

I'd say he's a policeman, he has a hat and uniform, he even has a radio.
No, I'd say without any shadow of doubt, he's a policeman.

Why don't you contact the police and give them the benefit of your judgement? They let him go after no time at all, so presumably their view wasn't that it was deliberate.

It's my view it was deliberate. I don't give a toss if you share it.

What did you expect them to charge him with?

Malicious bumping into someone?

The wife and I were in Florida circa sept. 2000, and Al Gore was on the campaign trail, I was gob smacked at the amount of security (fleet of SS agents in black SUVs, helicopters, roads blocked etc.) and he was only the V.P!

It is quite remarkable how accessible our ministers are really, I remember having a pint and a chat, in a pub in Burnham Beeches (Jolly Woodman?) with
Ken Clarke who was then chancellor of the exchequer (believe ministerial residence is in Dorneywood)

I think our way is better. All that USA crap with ex-football players running alongside a tank is way over the top. All those saying Cameron deserves a slap are rather stupid. As if they would dare to stand up!
He's entitled to walk the streets like anyone else. A lot more voted for him than any of his armchair warrior critics. We should be proud that people in this country can go to social events and local events without Nato in attendance.

Judging from the expressions on the faces in that photo, I'd say the bloke on the right had soiled himself really rather badly, whoever he is.

Regardless of political views, the leader of Great Britain should be treated with more respect. That could have been a terrorist.

His security look too fat and old and if anyone wanted him dead it looks like they could do it easily.

I certainly wouldn't have just released the person that ran at him.
