Is ignorance an excuse for the very large African American driver?

It's an old word, old term and has nothing to do with the 'n' word. If someone chooses to ignore that and get offended anyway then too bad.

EDIT: And as per your edit, I'm Swedish.
Well I would VERY strongly recommend that you do not use that phrase in an English speaking country, particularly around a coloured guy.

Despite my nationality I'm very fortunate not to suffer from crippling stupidity (very common affliction among my fellow compatriots). biggrin

And I was under the impression the incident happened in Sweden. Either way you'd have to be mad to even attempt making such comments in English, not least because there exist no unbigoted translations.

Up there with the South Africans demanding that goods marked as made in Israel but made in the occupied territories be marked as from the occuppied territories, that sent them off on one.
So, should I make sure any argricultural products I receive from South Africa be marked as "From Stolen Farm" or "Family Farm"?

The Israeli foreign minister said that Sweden must understand that the situation in middle East is slightly more complex than a piece of Ikea furniture hehe
And just as ugly.

Not sure, but a dark skinned Arab riding a camel down Main Street Sweden is surely going to be recognized; just sayin'.

The Swedes have never forgiven the Israeli's for killing Count Bernadotte in 1948.
There is a big and growing anti-Semitism in in Sweden as well, hardly surprising with multi-culti that some cultures hate others.
I actually find that Swedes are quiet racist. I have even heard the following:

Person A: Wheres so and so? (he was in the toilet)
Person B ( A swede): He is having a ni***r.

And person be really could see that he had said anything wrong! We were all stunned!
You will find that most homegeneous societies are racist to an extent; sometimes deliberatly, often not. I find Orientals to be among the most racists personally.

Odd time to bring this up though. It will cost labour votes. Whilst Maureen Lipman saying she will now never support labour again is hardly a surprise, I wonder if a number of others will follow here example.

What Sweden does, or what we do with regards legitimising the Palestinians is immaterial though. If Israel wants a perpetual war then there's nothing we can do.
Sorry, what?
You mean that Sweden recognising a Palestinian state dodoesn't make you glad we signed the Treaty of Rome? Explain yourself!

Ah ok, that makes it a little clearer. No this was in the USA. And yes, I think he is mad, he is my boss smile

Pays the VAT to whom? confused

Are you suggesting that Israel pays the VAT to foreign suppliers and then supplies the goods to Palestinians net of VAT ?
Correct.

Jimbeaux - try reading the article before linking to it. That is pretty much the OPPOSITE of what Transmitter Man is asserting. Israel is levying VAT and import duties on goods destined for the Palestnians and NOT handing it over to the PA.

Actually, I was simply linking an article associated with what you two were posting about; I did not take any side in that debate. However, now that you mention it, here is a snipet:

"Payments tend to be about $50 million, which covers around half of the Palestinian Authority's total operating expenses."

A word of warning. Arguing anything that remotely defends homicidal, terrorist state of Israel will result in the wrath of countdown. Anything that praises the peace loving people of Palestine and he will give you much love.

Of course you didn't. Interesting how even US reverse gears make a high pitched whine wink

Absolutely. Where that money came from and who it belongs to is irrelevant wink

Are you still advocating the Israeli "Final Solution"?
