I suggest we burn the OP, he is obviously a witch!
I filled up my F-Type and my Range Rover yesterday, both V8's, and still had enough for a slap up meal and a bottle of pop. biggrin
Well I work for a firm that sells fuel and it is killing the boss smile

Filled up yesterday, in the UK, and paid £1.05.9 a litre.

I love the Tesco 20p a litre off offer!

Got Super Unleaded last week for £1.32, cheapest I've seen it.. well.. ever. Normally between £1.45-£1.48.

I converted US gallon to litres so you needn't feel any better. It's still 46p a litre here.

Oops, 45 p now. wink

"Gasoline is cheaper than milk again. In September the national average price of milk was $3.73 per gallon. The annual average for milk is on track to be more expensive than the annual average for gasoline for the first time since 2011. The gap is even bigger for some bottled water lovers. A case of a dozen 1.5 liter bottles of Evian on Amazon.com costs $38.99, which makes for a price per gallon of $8.20."

The local Esso in my town reduces petrol two days a week, on Saturday it was down to £1.15 a litre for petrol. I filled up the tank on the bike, went a run and when I came back to fill up again it was gridlocking the street due to the traffic waiting to get in.

Sadly they don’t discount their super unleaded and im forced to pay £1.29 for tescos 99 ron for the taxi.

my understanding is UK fuel is always higher price as it is right hand drive fuel and needs to be made especially for uk, that must the reason we always get ripped off.

Paid £1.549 a litre for SU in Ullapool a few years ago. You guys in the Hooning wilderness get ripped off!

Not as bad as the 2.15 euros a litre I paid on the Italian autostrada in 2012.

Stating the obvious - the higher the proportion of tax on your fuel the correspondingly smaller reduction in price you will see, no? The OPs comparison isn't really valid.
Yeah but... I think the tax is 70p a litre? So on the 1.31 61p wasn't tax so if that fell by 25% it should give you a 15p per litre reduction.
£1.31 back in the summer was $2.23.
£1.20 now is about $1.93.
That's 13% in USD terms, but only 8% in GBP.

There's VAT as well as fuel duty.

And VAT on the fuel duty, too...
