By British standards she's a moderate social democrat, would probably be on the left wing of the Conservative party.

That is my thinking more or less; I guess she annoyed the corporates by pressing for more bank regulation, or was it the outrageously communist suggestion that student loans ought to be available with the same interest rate as the Fed bail-out loans? Obviously a pinko.
