Seems unlikely as Wikipedia says Common Purpose was founded in 1989.

I think it's more likely that Ted Heath was one of those Freemasons of the Land types.
I thought he liked sailing.

You don't see how the firms some of these people work for also do work for government? How JL is far from a typical business? You need to read the book "The Untouchables", it's about the Ireland but the basic principles are universal - always look for the conflict of interest.
Are you suggesting that Oracle, JL, or PwC are involved in some kind of CP conspiracy or have been corrupted by CP in some way?

There is a revolving door and also a very close working relationship between some of them and government and public sector. Not JL - that's just anomalous for a large firm insomuch as its shareholding.

My wife works in a sector where there is sometimes a very grey area between public and private sectors, indeed workers have (and continue to be) TUPEd in between organisations, across that divide.

I agree with you. I know of loads of people who have moved from Public sector to private and back again. It's especially common in interim management roles. Even disregarding people directly employed in Public Services there are numerous private individuals/organisations who act as subcontractors.

However it's got nothing to do with Common Purpose (which was my question).

Other than, their courses are more heavily subscribed to by public sector than private - I think this is established. Private organisations where staff are more likely to have (often very recently) come from the public sector are more likely to be influenced by these ideas. That is all. I don't think that is a great extension of the facts as we all know them.

Seems they train senior police officers to lead without authority. Leading without authority could he useful when you then get a job with the independent police regulator:
