If you tweeted a similar picture of a house in Bradford with Pakistani flags hanging outside and the words "Bradford these days" you'd be castigated.
Not on here you wouldn't.

If you're disparaging about working class Brits you get sacked. If you're disparaging about working class foreigners you get elected.

As soon as I saw the house, I knew what the bloke would look like. I certainly wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley after he's "been on it" down the pub!

I also reckon, if he could be bothered to cast a vote, that he either voted UKIP or Britain First, for the sole reason he reckons they'd "shuuut der borders".

He's the type of guy who is easily judged. Same as me, being brown with a beard (which I thought I was being trendy growing it!). I get judged every day on looks. I'm sure tri-flag man would judge me immediately.

If this topic was about anything else other than politics, and especially about a bloke from Strood, where UKIP just won a bi-election, then you'd all be judging him the same

edit - just saw this quote from him,
‘I will continue to fly the flags – I don’t care who it pisses off. I know there is a lot of ethnic minorities that don’t like it,’ he said.

Why would he think "a lot of ethnic minorities don't like it"?

That's right. Could have read that without the bold though wink

So what was your first impressions on the guy/house?

He might has well have said "you poor proles".

I think the major problem here is that just like a lot of celebrities/MPs, just she doesn't actually realise how ttter works.

She thought that by posting a picture of a "chav van" all her Islington mates would look at it and chortle at the poor ignorant person & feel empathy for having to talk to "that sort" before tucking back into their pasta.

She didn't think that anyone, except people who think like her, would see it and given the fact that she keeps highlighting other tweets which supposedly support her position, shows that in fact she isn't sorry about it at all & feels she's the victim.

Just like Shoesmith & Thacker...

Guy - My electrician is a (unsigned) white van man, large and overweight, wouldn't touch hummous or brown bread hehe He is however, like many working class, best described using the phrase 'salt of the earth'.

House- Covering an entire window and blocking out the light with a flag is just stupid.

Pretty much on the same level of that idiot Cameron saying 'we're all in it together'.

It appears that he voted Conservative at the last general election.

His neighbours have described him as a "gentle giant".

Gosh!

I'd heard about bigots, but I guess that I didn't really understand what you were like.

I'm a bit shocked, TBH.

I wonder if I am too old for modern society?

Face to face, I'm usually the last one to judge someone. I come to a verdict on e I've interacted with said person. Problem is, I can't do that with this fella. I bet to all who know him, he's a stand up guy.

I believe people's impressions of this guy are skewed by the political st surrounding it.

He doesn't present himself too well though
