You insult people and then you're surprised they don't want to debate with you (on subjects that have already been discussed at length)??
Really?
I didn't insult anyone, he went out of his way to insult me although I've never even spoken to him before. In fact, I'd barely made half a dozen comments on the thread before he'd insulted me twice. If you don't believe me go back and look for yourself.

I don't care how long this thread has been going on. I came on here to talk with people reasonably and he started insulting me without provocation. All I've done is to defend myself and point out how his behaviour is ill-mannered and makes him look stupid.

Defend your chosen party as much as you like. But don't defend someone who's behaved like an arse just because he's in the same party.

"Shame he can't spell...."..........methinks my lord doth protest too much....

ok lets play this game...........so you are stating categorically that you chose your name, and spelling of it, 100% on the historical character and not in the slightest way based on what it may be conflated with?

Why is it "meaningless"? It is totally reasonable to have different immigration controls for different countries. E.G. one might allow uncontrolled immigration from Ireland, and zero immigration from Syria.
Because the value from immigration comes from the functions that these people can do, not what country they are from.
banghead
So maintaining "British values" and "integration" etc... are not a consideration for you? It's all about the utility and function of doing a job with you is it?
What have Romania and Poland got to do with British values?
Why do you always answer a question with a question? Or was that rhetorical?

How have I insulted you? Commenting on how you deliberately choose spell your pseudonym? If that insults you then all I can say is it is probably just as well you are not a kipper.
I deliberately choose to spell my pseudonym in the correct fashion: It's the anglo-saxon form of King Canute. C-n-u-t is the accepted spelling these days. The automatic censor conflates c-n-u-t with c-u-n-t because it's a dumb machine. Assuming you're not a dumb machine, what's your excuse?

Either you don't know your history - which doesn't sit well for someone who paints himself as a patriotic UKIP supporter - or you don't know how to spell a basic four letter word.

Are you a typical UKIP supporter?

Good luck with your intelligent debates.
It's nice to meet a man who admits that he's incapable of intelligent debate. It's good to know your limits.
King Canute the Great...... good luck with trying to stop the UKIP tide oh mighty one. bow
Very good.
If you knew a bit of history, you'd know that C-n-u-t was trying to prove to his courtiers that he wasn't all powerful and he couldn't turn the tide back. You've actually missed a perfect opportunity to score points off me.

The Stewart Lee skit of Paul Nuttal on the beach pretending to be King Canute is one of the funniest things I've ever seen, I nearly wet myself laughing.

My spelling isn't perfect but I try my best, with only four letters it wasn't too hard.

I chose my name because it, like many handles I've seen on PH, looks a bit rude but isn't on closer inspection - how was I to know the auto censor would jump on it. I also liked the real story (see above) of King C-n-u-t: the idea that things change and you can't turn back the tide. i.e. it wasn't chosen because I believe that I can single-handedly turn back the tide of UKIP because that would be illogical. It's not my fault that you don't know the reason why C-n-u-t did what he did.

Do you always go about insulting strangers for no other reason than they've said something you disagree with? You don't come across very well.

Cnut. Quote to see how I avoided the silly spacing and ludicrous swear filter issue. Don't do it on actual legitimate sweary words 'cause it pisses the mods off.

When you make a clear and coherent question, you'll probably get a proper answer. When you ask a very vague question you'll probably get a vague answer.

And if you knew your history you will know there are different opinions of what he did and why he did it, even that he did or tried to do it at all.

There was nothing vague in my question.

I'll ask it again - what is more important to you when recruiting resource to come and work in the UK - is it the specific utility of their skill set or their ability to integrate and accept "British values"?

Funny you failed to take into account that diversity of opinion from the start but plumped for the one largely discredited explanation to use against me. Is this your normal pattern - do something wrong, pretend you didn't and then attempt to hide it with a load of diversionary bluster?

You're behaving just like that kid who got thrown off 'The Apprentice' last night.

Edited to say I've just seen your additional information. Seriously, it's just another layer of diversionary bullst you're laying down to cover up you being unnecessarily rude to me. Are you unable to understand your own actions?

Congratulations on entirely missing the point.

If I understand FredClogs' vague question, he was suggesting that a policy of controlled immigration from all countries would somehow undermine 'British values' and 'integration' but a policy of uncontrolled EU immigration would not.

Assuming that we aren't a stateless group then the indigenous community reserves the right to determine its own policy in its own country which includes deciding where to draw the line in how much immigration we take in.Assuming the immigrant communities don't want to respect that then maybe they are the ones who should fk off just as the Poles and the Ukrainians would say if ethnic Russians tried to determine Polish and Ukrainian national policy.

The former - these people need to add value to the economy.
