I would think there will a trouble, though the militarized police force complete with armoured ex-military vehicles will be formidable...passions are running very high now...big crowd outside. Crowds in other US cities too. Evidence did not support an indictment. Extended sympathies to victim of shooting. Commented that there was tension between the police and the populace WIll release all evidence. Complained about social media and the 24-hour news cycle. Dismissed many eyewitness accounts. It did seem like a thorough investigation.

Bottom line: no charges. Many of the community will not accept this, I fear.

It seems, pending any form of review, that the public there literally cant handle the truth...

It is sad that there are always rabble rousers looking to destory property and hurt people at the drop of a hat, with so little motivation needed.

No question whatsoever that the prosecutor ducked his responsibility by handing this off to a grand jury. Whatever the eventual outcome was to be this case needed to be handled with transparency and that does not happen when you utilize a secret and outmoded vehicle such as this. It's worth noting that grand juries are no longer used anywhere else in the world and in less than half the states now.

It is regrettable that agitators, acting against the wishes of the Brown family and civic leaders, have been given this platform for violence and destruction by the actions of a feeble and cowardly prosecutor.

Is it me or are the looters more interested in free TVs and trainers than making a political statement. Any excuse for a riot?

A jury is an 'outmoded vehicle'? And not transparent? Even when the prosecutor has said he'll release as much information in public as possible.

People need to accept the decision.

That's a very cynical view.

It does appear to be what they want, though.

I think that the prosecutor was told by Eric Holder that a Grand Jury was required required to ensure transparency. If the case went to trial the outcome would likely be the same.

Why?

It already appears they haven't. I thought Americans were quite keen on the idea that the governers should have the consent of the governed.
