Off topic but the federal mortgage reinsurers are once again relaxing mortgage lending standards to encourage "inclusion"

If that blows up it will of course all be the fault of our greedy bankers here in the UK.
I think people need to understand that many of our banks were in trouble not due to reckless loans or "casino capitalism" but because they were dependent on short term funding in the inter-bank market. Funding that was suddenly not there due to factors mostly out of their control.
The ones the taxpayer had to purchase dug their own graves by reckless acquisitions. I would seriously question the culpability of the rest of our banking sector though.

Somebody understood but its not you.
Should he also not buy his food at Tesco who, after all, have reported some very dubious numbers in their accounts?
You could expand that point out to cover a thousand similar arguments.
He is using a company he very vocally criticises, and in doing so not only helps to further enrich them, but also himself. His enrichment from using their services in the face of viable alternatives is higher than it would be were they to adopt the behaviours he is demanding, so he is benefitting directly from the behaviour he is condemning. I'm suggesting that sends out something of a mixed message.Should he also not buy his food at Tesco who, after all, have reported some very dubious numbers in their accounts?

I don't know his stance on Tesco, but were he also outspoken against them, then it would likewise be hypocritical to purchase products from them. You're right that there are a thousand similar arguments, but that's kind of the point of having personal principles. If you're not going to stick to them or allow yourself continual get-outs, you can expect accusations of hypocrisy. By way of example, I have issues with the way Apple does business, so I don't use its products or services. Had I just typed that from an iPad, or perhaps talked about something I'd just downloaded from iTunes, I'd expect accusations of hypocrisy to be levelled at me, whereas you would appear to see no contradiction.

How would you feel, for arguement's sake, if you found out that PH use Apple servers? How did the government force banks to lend to certain people? What would have been the sanctions if they hadn't?
They had targets they had to meet. Then that good ol' socialist dullard Gordon Brown turned a blind eye as he grew the economy on the back of such unsustainable lending.

I will admit his obvious dislike for brand has made it a bit over zealous on the acting.
