It's not unique to Islam.
I think the IS pamphlet justifying sex with small girls was pretty unique...

Before some people turn this into yet another "let's tar all Muslims with the same brush" thread; remember that the kids killed here were also Muslims as were their families who probably feel more upset than any of us towards the Taliban at this very moment.

How can it possibly be "right" to go into a school and mow down 100 people, including 80 odd kids with a machine gun in response to "army operations?"
Because Islam. yes

Correct me if I am wrong here.

I was under the impression that the Taliban hate the ISIS for the evil things they have done?!

I wonder how much the drop in the price of oil will impact on the spread of dodgy doctrines?

Or that would just be offset by greater instability to the more enlightened parts of the globe?

I don't understand it either - but if someone decides that a particular group is "the enemy", then any atrocity becomes legitimised in their mind. It's not unique to Islam.
What other cases of mass slaughter of Children comes to mind.
The world may be as mad as it ever was but now its violent beyond belief.
There have been many such attacks over the decades - some "successful" - some foiled. Off hand, I can remember an attack on a school in Russia ten or so years ago and school children were held hostage in Holland in the 1970s - both attacks carried out by terrorist groups.

Has anybody said their action was justified?

What I am saying is that it isn't altogether unique.

These brave fighters shoot children yet we worry about torturing terrorists and the moral high ground.

Separatists who happened to be Muslims. An important distinction.

The 1977 siege in Holland was carried out by South Mollucans - who, as far as I know, wren't Muslims. The only good part of that incident is that they largely failed in their objective.
