Exactly. What I heard from her on the radio news was a classic example of a posh, establishment person just not accepting that she is not needed and we can all manage fine without her.
I daresay the little thorny problem arising around the loss of the huge fee, probably periodically 'refreshed' over two/three years, might have a not insignificant bearing on the public display of her discomfiture. Shame really. Oh, I wonder if perchance a welcoming parachute gesture had already been agreed and dispatched? Another shame really.

What is remarkable is that the bloke was, apparently, a known paedophile yet he was accepted by the great and the good.

The suspicion is that pressure from SB/MI5 would have put a stop to investigations.

Would any PM nowaday be able to ignore the obscene habits of their assistants? One hopes not but . . .

Well the head of MI6 in the early 80's was a nonce so its not hard to imagine spook pressure being applied onto witnesses.
Even when he got caught he got promoted to the ambassadors service in Toronto.

Toronto pops up a few times regarding this subject.

Victims of Kincora Boy's Home are taking their case to the courts in the next few weeks to have the events there added to the ongoing national investigations.

If there is any truth in politicians, royalty or whoever at the highest levels of society being involved in all this why has no foreign publications, outside of the control of the UK security services gone ahead and published names?

We don't care about Italian Crime Syndicates, and their involvement in sex crimes, or the mafias ability to black mail half the leading politicians and bribe the other half. Why would the Italians care about st that happens here. Not likely to sell papers is it?

Also no point risking getting sued by those involved when it wouldn't be a money maker for the paper involved.

Papers documenting unnatural sexual activity by Tory MPs in the 80s has been unearthed.

Can't post a link but the Mail is reporting it likely to have seen by good old Maggie.

Dudley, do you think he could have been bumped off? I'd have thought that may be less likely than him taking his own life.

I think there was an MoS article about Elm House that opined that the only person they had was McSweeney, and that he was a fall guy, a lone name for all of the men that visited that place.

His connections to a certain footballer and other MP's makes interesting reading.

Ingham's comment amounted to washing of his hands. He seems to accept that the file was passed upwards and then he confronted the person with the evidence. When the chap said he was innocent, that was it.
