UK General Election 2015
Discussion
In what way is that a good quote?
It's retarded.
Starting to think Labour getting in might be good for me as it will serve as a good kick up the arse to get out off this island before st really hits the fan after reading a few of the comments on that Boyle post - so bored of the jealousy in this country.

Interesting excercise
I got http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/general-election-2...
Interesting excercise
72% Tory
63% Lib Dem
58% Lab
51% Green
Which is about right as I am quite conservative for things like economy and policing, but quite liberal in my attitudes to immigration, environment and the like.
In my constituency of folk who have used the system its about the same for lab and con, with Green way out ahead, but that's just because maybe 4 people used the thing here, but SNP are quite far behind which was surprising.

69& UKIPhttp://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/general-election-2...
Interesting excercise
66% Conservatives
Not surprising really but fundamentally fails as I disagree on the core UKIP policy - Europe. Other areas that differentiate UKIP from the Tories that align me with UKIP are the Environment and IHT but the European issue remains a solid reason I couldn't vote for them.
Plus my seat is genuinely Lab OR Con possibility and a vote for UKIP would increase the chance of a switch to Labour so tactically a non-starter as well!

The only thing funny about frankie boyle is his face and you can only snigger at that for a few moments before it gets annoying, so id not bother to take anything he has to say with any kind of seriousness.
He is a "comedian" after all....
But sadly, a lot of tts will. Similarly to the Katie Hopkins leaving if Labour win thing, that will actually motivate said tts to vote who normally wouldn't. These being those popping more sprogs despite having no income to support them - these will always end up voting labour for the promise of more free money. The fact that Labour are even close to getting in is just wrong. He is a "comedian" after all....
If Labour get in and stay in, I can see us as fked as Greece within a generation.
On zero-hours contracts, my son has one of these from a local authority that is run by a Labour-Conservatve coalition that replced a previous SNP-minority administration, even though the SNP remained the largest party.
He was expected to turn up at short notice as required, sometimes getting less hours that the travel cost would need for him to break even, and hasn't had any work at all from them since he got some regular part-time work closer to home that meant he wasn't available at the drop of a hat.
So much for 4 years at university and an honours degree!

I mean quite open to green initiatives if they make sense, like recycling, food waste control, re using brown field land, that sort of thing, Fracking is fine but not in areas of outstanding national beauty, i.e. national parks, but fill yer boots in other areas of UK.That kind of thing.

According to the Andrew Neil interview someone linked to earlier, 30% dont want more hours and 17% are students so 47% who don't want full time leaving 53% who MAY have an issue, the number Neil was citing was a total of 700,000 on zero hours contracts the number being more or less what it was under labour.
So that nets out to 371000 who MAY have an issue on these contracts and the Tories have enacted a change to remove the most exploitative elements.
I think it's likely that the main problem that zero-hours contracts face is that a 'zero-hours contract' sounds mean, which is about as deep as something needs to be for the public (or a noisy minority) to be for or against something. What was wrong with calling this kind of thing 'casual labour', sounds much more friendly. So that nets out to 371000 who MAY have an issue on these contracts and the Tories have enacted a change to remove the most exploitative elements.

But Ed Balls he had the 4th best ever first in PPE at Oxford you know.
I bumped into Ed in a chip shop in the local area, he was buying some food for a team he was out door-knocking with - 2 bags of chips to share between 8 people. He's still likely to win here again.
I haven't got a clue who to vote for, the online quiz things seem to align me with UKIP and then Labour but I can't help thinking they aren't giving me the full picture and just headline knee-jerk stuff that most people would want.

Strange how the two main parties will talk about anything BUT avoid saying anything about immigration. Its like it does not exist.
Yes, beyond strange but at the same time, unsurprisingly with such a hot potato.Tone.. said:
