I expect conservative are regretting calling ukip supporters swivel eyed loons now they need the loons to vote conservative.
YAAAAWN! Do put the Kipper victim card away!

Said in 2006 I believe - and, probably not wholly inaccurate at the time either.

Its getting as repetitive/boring as the socialists that still blame Thatcher for all their ills.
No kipper victim card here.

I suggest you come off your high horse , people will vote for whoever they want and what you need to understand is that you have absolutely no control over it.

We've only had Con canvasser round and did not make any attempt to persuade me as an undecided after I raised concerns about their manifesto and particular reasons why I had parted the ways due to Cameron.
All he said was don't vote UKIP, not even a please.

So much like on PH then.
Who are deciding between then?

Presumably not Conservative if you have parted ways. Who else?

Out here the cons seem to be spending serious money on the biggest campaign posters at the roadside I have ever seen (short of billboards) Nick Boles must be seriously worried about UKIP in Grantham and Stamford given this stuff
That in a typically well solid safe seat
If they are that worried in a seat with a 10k majority to warrant this kind of thing (didn't do anything like that last time) then the polls are certainly not telling the whole story!
Its the unknown factor, that we have talked about all along, at the last two by elections they threw the kitchen sink at it and lost, now its the kitchen sink along with the cooker and the fridge for good measure,
I am in a strong Labour seat, but I must have had about 4 fliers through the door along with a personally addressed letter, it must be costing a fortune,
the big problem is the do not have an answer to UKIP, apart from name calling,

they have been putting out fliers that state if you vote for UKIP they will privatize the NHS and if you get ill it will cost you a fortune, total lies, but mud sticks if you fling enough of it.

Quite a lot of bks they're spinning of late; Burnham and Milburn privatised far more than the coalition have even considered.

It appears a new Ipsos Mori poll suggests 40% of voters are still undecided
If that's correct then it is all still up in the air and may well explain why the polls are all over the place
Don't recall levels that high previously this close to an election
This is proving to be more interesting by the day smile
Would sir like his left testicle smashed with a hammer or his right testicle?

That is how most see the choices we have
Ouch ... what about Madam ? smile

Human Nature being what it is, I suspect many of that 40% are reticent and decided long ago where their X will go come May 7th. Like so many button holed by media smoothies on the street, prefer not to reveal that and hide behind fake "indecision..

Mind you, I'm undecided about that ... smile

I travel to work from Pinchbeck to Sleaford. On my travels, I seem to be able to count numerous conservative billboards and signs in fields. I never see any other party represented.

Our local MP has a very safe seat. However, I shall not be voting for him as I don't rate him at all.

Who have you had knock the door.

We just had a labour rep/promoter knock the door, about the same age as me (30ish), I said who I was voting for (conservative) and he asked why before telling why it was a bad idea,I gave my best friendly 60 second speech as to why and why not labour expecting a bit of friendly debate but he just stood there in silence and went bright red as the smile dropped from his face, hehe

What's the point in these plonkers coming around if they can't engage in friendly debate.
No knocks on our door yet. frown

Always found this an oddity at election time. When we go into the booths to vote, it seems much is done to keep it a private issue between the voter and the ballot box, yet `some' want people to throw this privacy about the way they will vote away on the street???

I asked the Labour lass how she could expect me to vote for someone who is so thick he will pay more AFTER using a tax avoidance scheme.

No wonder they want to cut down on tax avoidance. It's an embarrassing reminder.

if you extrapolate that 2.7m figure, that's ~160K new households a year (17 years), 89% of that is ~142K households per year for migrants.

if you look up the ONS figures for new house building over that timeframe, it's just over 3M,

anybody want to talk about the housing crisis?

The Lib Dems, Labour (incumbents) SNP and UKIP have been knocking on the doors around here (Aberdeen South). At our flat in the town (Aberdeen North) Labour (incumbents) and the SNP have stopped by.

No knocks on the door here either. I guess that what comes of living in a safe seat.
I am still undecided about to vote for. This hasn't been helped by the increasingly desperate promises being made by the parties, knowing full well a coalition will give them a get out clause for not delivering.
Free school meals, no tax increases, eu referendum. We will never see any of it.
I came to the conclusion I'd vote to the first person to knock on my door or stop me in the street. So far nothing.

Tories are the only party that can afford to do this kind of advertising on any scale, not because they is well popular.

Really now? Which party has received the most campaign for nations by far? Labour. From the unions.

Plenty of LibDem boards up round here. I don't think I agree with your assertion.

In 2010 the Tories spent twice as much (£16m) on their campaign as Labour - don't know the figures this time round just yet.
