When I did my bike test some years ago, I questioned the need to do shoulder checks when turning right from the centre of the road. Who would be stupid enough to overtake there, I asked?

People on drugs or driving stolen cars was the answer. That nugget stuck with me. It's not directly applicable here, except that there are some retards on the road who either don't look or don't give a fk.
I got overtaken this morning while turning right, after having signalled, moved to the right hand side of the lane and checked. Transit tipper decided that driving towards the oncoming traffic was preferable to nipping up the massive, wide, lane on the inside to carry on where he was going. He almost hit a bus coming the other way, and nearly lost some of his load of bric-a-brac while swerving.

Quite a few are claiming it is a Focus, but which Focus? There are many versions and the light cluster is wrong for the current model.

The light cluster is closer to that on a Prius, but the spoiler is wrong.

If we cannot identify the exact make and model, then we have no grounds to criticise the Police for failing to do do.

It's the most recent shape. They obviously have quite distinctive light clusters but they are a blur in the images. The roofline, windows, spoiler and oval badge on the back give it away.

Take this photo for example - http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1a...

Look at the way the rear window sweeps up. That line meets the rear spoiler as it sweeps down.
