Luckily my local police force read this story and immediately put up two mobile cameras in places where there have never been any accidents but by coincidence a lot of people do drive slightly faster than the 30 limit (possibly because there are no houses around for a mile or so).. I felt so much safer driving today and I bet it will really make a Merry Christmas for anyone who doesn't spot them in time (luckily rather than be sneaky and hidden as much as possible which is clearly safer, they were not sat in full view)..
