First day of summer tomorrow, and its forecast rain and 11C here.
Can we have some Global Warming? Pleeaase?
We have lots of it, haven't you heard, this is the hottest year on record. Of course, I have no idea where they get the temps for that weather given how f***ng cold it has been, but there we go.....Can we have some Global Warming? Pleeaase?
Obviously burning the gas will have increased the global temperature especially in India.
This morning, on the outskirts of Sheffield, my car's ECU said "caution, icy conditions"....3deg.
Chap in from Sweden was also moaning about the cold back home yesterday.
It's going to more than balance out, even in the very short term, the bookmakers odds for June being the hottest on record in the UK have just been slashed (although I can't see it happening myself), so commenting on chilly weather in June probably hasn't got much legs, even in jest!

True enough, we must be wary of the scourge of premature adjudication. Ask young Pachauri.Dakkon said:
On this day 40 years ago there was snow across most of Britain, noone bleated on about climate change then.
I remember it well. I arrived at Heathrow as a ten year old from Australia on 2nd June 1975, with a t-shirt on ready for the English summer. There was snow alongside the runway and I wanted to stay on the plane and return to Oz.Mr GrimNasty said:
I think July and August are the only months in which snow hasn't been recorded in England, but nothing's impossible with weather, even before the chaos of imaginary climate change. So it will happen sooner or later (well probably has happened, just not noticed).
July 2014 snow on the streets of Poole:
July 1816 was allegedly a bit chilly, not sure about snow.
A bit on the long side, but stunning to say the least. Energy physicist Mike Brakey tells us why he is not surprised the NOAA might be investigated by Congress. http://notrickszone.com/2015/06/01/bombshell-compr...
last comment under the article is interesting " I live in this region and can verify that the temps have been dropping over the last decade. Our short (90 day) growing season has grown a week shorter and is noticeable by anyone who lives (and grows) in the region. My woodstove is working today (2June15) with an outside temp of 47.
I too had noticed the difference in measured temps and reported HDDs but hadn’t compiled the data for a study."
it appears there are people in many areas that would disagree with the narrative when it is applied to the area they live .

The hail floats on the run-off and gets piled up in one place, not as bad as Texas, (think this is a repost but hey....).

Two cracking quotes from there ..........Australia in the news again
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3109019/A-...
"Put another penguin on the barbie Bruce!"
and the funniest (or maybe saddest).........
"This is what a warming planet actually looks like. It gets cold in the early stages of global warming. Climate scientist Professor Tim Flannery predicted this. 2015 is already set to be the hottest year on record. A tipping point was reached in 2009 and what we are experiencing now is runaway global warming. This process now cannot be reversed. All life is now about to die. Look up the work of Emeritus Professor Guy McPherson at his site: Nature Bats Last. He's been over the data again and again and there is no way he is wrong. There's nothing more that can be done now. Global extinction may happen in as little as 10 years and at most is only 30 years away."

That's the most awesome epitaph ever written.
They have between 10 and 30 years to brief the stonemason.
Relax guys the UK has solved the problem, at least as far as the arak is concerned anyway:

Tim Worstal has worked out we've done enough here and we just have to sit back now and watch it work as the scientists / policy wonks tell us it will.
Sorted - yes, of course it is.....

A significant reduction in fuel duty can only be days away!

when will they start issuing the 'Climate Change Winners' medal? All 65 million+ of them?
Sounds like the lies are getting more desperate, I can't wait now to see watt's afoot!

All that ramping of a political cause based on junkscience.http://wattsupwiththat.com/2015/06/03/noaas-nation...
Anyone would think there's a major climate beanfeast/carbonfest later this year.
It's odds-on that the BBC got a heads-up (not from WUWT) with climate expert Harrabin on the case.
