What 'mass climate migration' is the woman referring to? Did she give any examples?
If that's aimed at the Grauniad piece, she's referring to all sorts...

Among others, Russia poor grain harvest - due to drought/hot weather - leads to no grain export to ME, where price of bread inflates and locals go bat st crazy = Arab Spring. Ergo they come to Blighty.

It's all connected. Globalism, neo-con free market economics, pauperisation of anyone earning <£52k per year, Thatcher closed Northern England etc etc

In other news has anyone yet bought Mark Steyn's new book -

"A Disgrace To The Profession"
The World's Scientists, In Their Own Words, On Michael E Mann, His Hockey Stick And Their Damage To Science
Volume I
Compiled and edited by Mark Steyn, with illustrations by Josh

Do I expect you to publicly denounce the hockey stick as obvious drivel? Well, yes.
Jonathan Jones, Professor of Atomic and Laser Physics, University of Oxford

Michael Mann, Phil Jones and Stefan Rahmstorf should be barred ...because the scientific assessments in which they may take part are not credible anymore.
Eduardo Zorita, Senior Scientist at Germany's Institute for Coastal Research

Did Mann et al get it wrong? Yes, Mann et al got it wrong.
Simon Tett, Professor of Climate Science, University of Edinburgh

This one from the BBC seems to have slipped through our net.

"Islamic call on rich countries to end fossil fuel use"

The potential consequences of the ideas would surely be far reaching and are fascinating to contemplate.

Is this their way of destroying so-called 'rich' countries?

Funnily enough Jeremy's brother Piers (another good working class name) is an interesting old cove since he's a Marxist global warming denier. Jeremy is rumoured to be only "luke warmist".

"(Piers) Corbyn is well known for his opposition to the idea of anthropogenic global warming. Corbyn has stated that the anthropogenic contribution to global warming is minimal with any increase in temperature due to increased solar activity. In 2008 Corbyn went even further than being sceptical, and took an absolutist, certain position by stating, "... CO2 has never driven, does not drive and never will drive weather or climate. Global warming is over and it never was anything to do with CO2. CO2 is still rising but the world is now cooling and will continue to do so."[34]. He writes about his views, including the idea that the world is experiencing cooling, on his website[35] and appears on talk shows to discuss what he considers to be weaknesses of the argument for manmade global warming.

I heard Jeremy Hardy - a so called comedian, funny as tooth ache - say on the radio this morning that one to the things he liked about Ed Miliband was that, "... he understands climate change, like Jeremy Corbyn."

That would be the Ed Miliband who thought all co2 in the atmosphere was man made, then? Funnest thing Hardy has said in... well ever.

This is the point where the warmists pipe up with "that's weather not climate". But having been keeping an eye on weather around the world for the last couple of months I'd say (anecdotally) it has been mostly crap everywhere.
Not just that, but I always point out that when it was hot many years ago now, all we got was "due to Global Warming" so I go with the "can't have it both ways"...

Quite so, there was less tax gas up there back then so it was definitely cooler, much cooler and if you can't remember how freezing it was then Big Oil bought your memory...obviously.

Our old adversaries over at the Bad Science forum don't half rip him to pieces. Might be wrong, but I think they have a thread dedicated to that endeavour.

My son was up in the Arctic a few weeks ago, navigation officer on a cruise ship, he was telling me they could not get to the places they normal go due to lots more ice than normal, this heat really is causing problems. hehe
Funny, the BBC inform me that all sea ice disappeared seven years ago and my Geography teacher told me that London was under water three years ago hehe

Met Office loses BBC weather forecasting contract

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-34031785

interesting stuff....

I assume this will make a big dent in their budgets, can't think who else would be paying big money to them?

I wonder if this will have any effect on their news coverage of climate bull?

The Beeb dumping the Met is fascinating. They've realised that to save money they can get a couple of blokes with a laptop and the back of a fag packet to bash out the weather for half the price and still probably be as accurate. Yet we are still suppose to swallow the idea that they know what the climate will be doing in 10 or 100 years.

There's one or two Met weathermen who aren't quite ON message enough for the BBC's liking I suspect.

This is probably about getting control/influence over the talking heads presenting the weather complete with obligatory AGW message.

By the way, what happened to the tornados the Met Office promised for yesterday?

They managed to collect some tax thus the weather improved....

Is it just me who thinks the Global Warming lot are bit like going back to the Romans/Vikings? Pay some cash to the priest to sacrifice an animal or two and all will be well and the gods will control the weather for you!?!!
