Did none of them notice when we had that 2 days of real cold a short while back, the wind farms provided nothing, then the next day when it warmed up, they were paid to NOT supply because the grid couldn't take it!

Load of bks.

Doesn't matter what they call them, when there’s no wind, there's NO BLOODY ELECTRICITY !!! What a surprise. So something else has got to be provided to supply electricity when they're idle, stupid bloody politicians.

The only thing that surprises me is the fact that there are still many people who actually believe a word that Cameron spouts!

It is incredibly slow.
Earlier today I emailed somebody who would be in a better position to comment than many of us - can't speak for everyone - and their reply, just in, was that it's all still constipated. Nothing is moving, no outcomes.

No pooping there don4l, can't recollect seeing it before so it's welcome news. Do we know the state of the counterclaims?

The legal process is slow after all.
not so much slow as politically and morally corrupt in the states .you definitely buy your justice there. here is all i can find on current state of play regards steyn vs mann . worth a read. http://www.steynonline.com/6910/mann-vs-steyn-the-... ,lots of quality steyn merchandise can be purchased to support his legal fund. i doubt very much whether mann will see this out to the end, despite being rumoured to have the backing of the david suzuki foundation.

I really hate to be a party pooper, but that story is two years old.
Yes I noticed as I posted, I was just about to edit. Nothing much changed did it!
I find it enormously depressing.

Presumably that proves that you have to burn a lot of carbon to make a "good" film.

Seems the greens are not doing so well in all things legal. Tim "greenster" Yeo, having lost a defamation suit, is getting another invite to court. Green greed is looking to be expensive now.

Excellent news, here's hoping the second Court appearance of Yeo goes the same way as the first.

This in the Guardian today - totally depressing frown

http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/feb/...

If you can't bear to click the link here's the opening paragraph:

Article said:
Why don't we treat climate change with the rigor we give to terror attacks?

Extreme weather, water shortages and the spread of mosquito-borne diseases like Zika are all having very real effects on everyday realities globally, and they are all linked to a fast-heating earth system. Yet we still don’t treat climate change with the reverence we reserve for something like a terrorist attack.
And the top rated comment: 'Cos the s think climate change is a myth...' weeping

I tried my best but probably to no avail:

Does this slow-down in the warming mean that the idea of anthropogenic global warming is no longer valid? The short answer is ‘no’.

Yet there's no visible causal human signal in any global climate data, so the idea of anthropogenic global warming is as valid as anything founded on faith. Amen to that, praise be to Gaia etc.

I'd agree with that, what the slow down does tells us however is the models that predicted imminent doom are wrong. The reality is we don't know anything so yes AGW is valid but then again maybe it isn't we don't really know. Is that enough to lead government policy? I don't think so hence this thread.

Just to illustrate.
