Actually no, the governments position based on settled science from the finest minds in the country is that we can expect wetter warmer winters and hotter drier summers.

Google the term and even last year it was the predicted outcome.

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=wetter+warmer+wi...

4th result on the page even links to an official government doc'.

Adapting to climate change - UK Climate Projections - Gov.uk
https://www.gov.uk/government/.../pb13274-uk-clima...
"Broadly speaking, we can characterise these as warmer and wetter winters, hotter and drier summers, sea level rise, and more severe weather."

Interesting that there is no mention of "man made" climate change in that article, just climate change. So let's assume that most people now acknowledge that climate change is a natural thing and not man made, what on earth do these people bleating about it expect us to do? World is a big place and humans are only small, I suggest we can't alter the path we are on so we simply need to adjust to changing conditions eg more flooding so sort out flood defences or move to higher ground etc.

What they expect you to do, is pay more taxes and stop driving everywhere.
Driving is to be something reserved only for the elite.

I think it's fair to say every possible event/situation/trend is a possible result of dangerous man-made climate change and this can be proven by Google!

It might be easier to ask exactly what is not proof.

The latest astounding act of chutzpah is the claims over the US hurricane drought - exactly the opposite of predictions, but the 'return' of major hurricanes (when ever it happens) proves the science was right all along!

You couldn't make it up, but climate scientists and their supporters do.

I caught Owen Smith (vying for Labour leadership) on SKY News this morning. When talking about threats, he actually put climate changes above nuclear deterrents and terrorism in terms of threats to our country!

The so called "Climate Change Committee" has made a statement, as it does, after the recent update fo the UK's "carbon budget".

The Energy Matters blog has a comment here:

http://euanmearns.com/climate-science-and-the-uk-c...

Both the blog post and the comments section up to the time of making this post make for interesting reading.

Thanks for the link, interesting and sobering stuff.

The level of uninformed green blob blundering beggars belief - true belief excepted.

To plagiarise the words of a well known blues song;

"If it wasn't for true belief we wouldn't have no belief at all."

(Ok, not quite a battle but I think the BBC has missed a chance to make mischief with this story. Thankfully.)

It didn't take long.

Two days of decent summer weather, and the BBC 6 o'clock news is about to broadcast a piece on Thermageddon!

They did it this morning: record hottest June ever, and fourteen successive record breaking months in a row. We'll all be murdered in our beds!
