A study by scientists at Germany’s Max Planck Institute for Meteorology found that man-made aerosols had a much smaller cooling effect on the atmosphere during the 20th Century than was previously thought. Why is this big news? It means increases in carbon dioxide emissions likely cause less warming than most climate models suggest.

Thanks for the link. With no room left on the MMGW coffin for nails and where the existing nails already have smaller nails hammered into them, this can be glued on top.http://dailycaller.com/2015/03/31/scientists-say-n...

So good news then. I expect to see the headlines on the BBC news rejoicing that we aren't going to fry and can relax and bin green taxes. Or not.http://dailycaller.com/2015/03/31/scientists-say-n...
More likely is:
the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology is a hotbed of deniers and/or is funded by Big Oil;
the heat is going somewhere else;
la-la-la not listening.

Causality simply asserted with no evidence whatsoever.
Should you not write to them and advise that archaic buildings with poor insulation really should be demolished to save the CO2 and most certainly people should be prevented from travelling to them which clearly raises more CO2. Thus, they should in effect close their own business down for the sake of the planet if what they say is true.Jasandjules said:

Almost on topic: Frankie Boyle's tweet to Richard Branson - after Branson's recent 'climate change' tweets is ace.
Albeit not safe for work.
Quite so. For those still not aware, after some right-on emoting from Branson over ice (no whisky) the line was: "You own an airline you mad ct".Albeit not safe for work.

Well, it might be acceptable I suppose if some of them went for the long distance trip. Preferably a very long distance.

Even more pointless is the "space travel for people with more money than sense" business.

Two years ago, I happened to share a helicopter flight from Vegas over the Grand Canyon with a chap who claimed to be signed up as the second paying passenger on Virgin Galactic. He even wore a Virgin Galactic baseball jacket.Well, it might be acceptable I suppose if some of them went for the long distance trip. Preferably a very long distance.
An American in his early fifties, he was an absolute . Really, really obnoxious. Really, really loud. He was also clueless, trying to hand the pilot his camera to take a photo of the Hoover dam as we flew by. The pilot pointed out that he needed both hands to fly the aircraft.
At the end of the flight, his blonde, trophy wife scurried over to apologise for her cretinous husband's behaviour. "No problem whatsoever," replied Mrs Blib, "We're not unfortunate enough to be married to him."
I remember googling his name afterwards and he was on the VG list that was published at the time.

TBH, I googled the chap's name at the time - 2013, and it appeared on the list. Scanning that link, I've no idea which one of them he was. Though, I know that he wasn't Brad Pitt.
Was he Angelina Jolie?chris watton said:

In fact when it arrives it will make all of the prior maintenance effort completely pointless.
