So, after fainting fairness in TV debates (won't do it unless the greens are included), then dropping out of bite the ballot (after the greens, UKIP, Lab and Lib showed up), is he just the biggest chicken ever?

Is he so scared that he will look even more of a loser in a debate?

I can't figure out who people assume he would not want to debate with?

Farage. Not because he'd lose the debate - I think he's quite competent at that - but because of the way he'll have to position himself to win the debate against Farage.

Call me Dave is a smart guy. They've everything to lose and nothing to gain by participating in set-up, bks events run by the Biased Broadcasting Corporation.

If you want to see him in action you can. BBC Parliament. Prime Minister's Question Time.

Why can't the other parties simply hold their own debate, and leave an empty chair for the Tories?

I'd still watch, and surely viewing figures are all the networks care for?

I voted Tory last time. I'm undecided currently, If the Tories won't get involved, I'm not voting for them - a party demonstrating a lack of backbone and trying to weasel it's way around what it perceives to be difficult issues tells me all I need to know.

Cameron is usually pretty good when it comes to PR. On this issue he's messed up. It takes something to makes Miliband more "Prime Ministerial" than he is, but he's done it here.

Indeed. All it looks like is that he doesn't have the courage to defend the Govt's conduct over the last years or his future intentions for the running of the country.

To be fair Cameron is between a rock and a hard place. If he takes part he will loose votes and if he doesn't take part he will loose votes. biggrin He's obviously decided not taking part will loose less votes than taking part.

Reasonably balanced article on why Dave and Tories have been spoiling the organisation of a debate.

Using the Greens as an excuse is a fowl deed.

I have no doubt he is trying to use it to his own advantage, but he does have a point. If we take the last general election as a basis then the Greens beat UKIP (1-0)

If we take the last "national election", i.e, the Euros, then the Greens beat the LibDems (3-1).

So there is a strong rationale for their inclusion. Also does balance the field up.

So less cowardice, more the use of factual data in pursuit of electoral advantage. If Farage did something similar you'd admire him for his cunning. In fact you have
