Greens accept 300k donation from tax evading Vivienne Westwood, in a move of breathtaking hypocrisy. I wonder if they'll pay it back.

She's not the first wealthy showbiz fool to be duped, regardless of any intelligence, by the false green god - and she won't be the last.
She isn't duped, she's simply a disgusting champagne socialist hypocrite. There was a news article a few weeks ago where she came out in favour of the greens because they are the only party that doesn't promote consumerism.
This is seemingly despite her making her name in fashion.... One of the most rampantly consumerist industries going...

Possibly on the duped aspect, definitely on the hypocrisy ticket, and maybe only she knows (if she could take an objective look, that is) however the article linked in this thread quoted her as saying in effect that Green policies would be good for business and good for the country, if that's not being duped then what is?!

Sure she's a hypocrite of the first order but I suspect she's been duped also. Like that model appearing at the Green Conference, a First in History of Art from her time at King's College Cambridge has done little to enable her to make an informed decision on these matters. BNasically she's as clueless as CMD and most other politicians, with a few notable exceptions e.g. Peter Lilley (Natural Sciences, Cambridge).

PH Arts grads and non-grads can work it out, the reason why others don't is a mix of free PR, vested interests, groupthink, and losts of uninformed religious zeal.
