As Stingemore died:

And his partner in crime was sentenced the other week:

I wonder if any police officers have got all of the information they can from McSweeney? Perhaps the raids are due to information McSweeney told them?

But they've been on McSweeney's case for ages, so hopefully they've not asked for the information from him after Brittan's death, or timed his trial so it was after Brittan's death?

Hopefully someone has pumped McSweeney for all of the information he has before he ceases to breathe?

"Cops have raided Tory Lord Leon Brittan’s homes over alleged child abuse – just SIX weeks after he died.

Detectives swooped on the former Home Secretary’s properties in London and North Yorkshire, the Sunday Mirror and news investigators Exaro can reveal

And in a dramatic development officers from Operation Midland – set up to investigate historic claims of child abuse by a group of powerful men – also searched the home of 91-year-old D-Day veteran Lord Bramall, once Britain’s highest-ranking Army officer.

The four raids were carried out at dawn on Wednesday at the same time officers swooped on the home of former Tory MP Harvey Proctor , 68.

Sources say the they were signed off by a “senior figure” in the Operation Midland team."

There's more distraction, misdiretion and smoke screening going on with this. Proctor's raid was the only one to get any coverage on the day and sounded pretty pointless. What he was convicted of is no longer illegal as the age of consent has changed twice since then. The BBC has still not mentioned the raids on Brittan's and Bramall's homes, at least on their website.

You could well be right.

Regarding McSweeney, it seems other victims have come forward:

http://www.exaronews.com/articles/5508/met-opens-n...

Last year the MoS printed that McSweeney seemed to be a small fish compared to some of the names linked to Elm House, Barnes.

I wonder how many of the well dressed, professional men mentioned by the victim are still alive?

There was a memorial ceremony held for LB a couple of days ago.
Many "interesting" names attended.

Surveillance operation in 1986?

The woman on Sky last week that said she was raped in woods in Cannock is 32 and says she was taken to Dolphin Square in what would have been the early to mid 90s. 1986 to the early to mid 90s isn't too long.

+1. I think you may be onto something with that suggestion Carinaman......
SNP MP Margaret Ferrier is the 3rd or 4th person on Early Day Motion 38 that seeks to make police officers and others with information on historic sex abuse against kids exempt from prosecution by the Official Secrets Act.

Unsurprising.

Are they waiting until they are all dead before naming and investigating them?

I wonder if the family will give him a headstone? Somewhere for his victims to pass their respects.

I doubt that will be as much fun as the Kids Co. Batmangelidjh one last week. I never got to the end of that one.
