There are a number of contributors somewhat jumping the gun with accusations, claims and insinuations. I think some of whom either misunderstand some of the recent criticisms of the man or have insider knowledge they're very sure about.
Or I've missed some pretty significant developments.

I'm thinking I must have missed something , I thought he was only being blamed for not following up on the Dickens Dossier ?
Some people posting don't seem to have a clue about the previous reports.
A whole lotta assumptions being made.
I thought Cameron said that he wanted to make it an offence not to report child abuse after the death of Daniel Pelka?
Last week former Military police officer and Special Constable Joanne Mjadzelics was cleared at Cardiff Crown Court of possessing child pornography. She said she was trying to get information to get Ian Watkins arrested. Three different police forces were told of Watkins and his sexual interest in minors. Officers have been warned that they may face censure for their decisions and actions.
Besides also informing the police, Mjadzelics also informed Social Services and relatives of Watkins about his sexual preferences.
So given what CMD said about wanting to make it an offence not to report child abuse should the other non police officers that Mjadzelics informed be invited into a police station for a 'chat'?
I am pretty sure it was on 11 Nov. 2014, the WW1 centenary year, that Theresa May, Home Secretary said that Peter Wanless, of the NSPCC I think, said that it wasn't possible to prove that the sexual abuse of minors hadn't been covered up by the Home Office due to the way files are kept, managed and discarded given the six weeks period he was allowed to look around. Who knows?
When Cameron was told what Wanless had said he came out with some line that included 'Learning Lessons'.
How does failing to properly address details about the alleged sexual predation of children, compare to what's going on with HRH Prince Andrew and what was done to former Special Constable and 'sex worker' Joanne Mjadzelics?
How does the way Mjadzelics was treated compare to what The Lord Pannick said in the HoL yesterday about Chris Grayling's new law to restrict access to Judicial Reviews? Lord Pannick said that Grayling's changes made it about the person looking to correct an injustice, rather than the injustice itself.
Wasn't Nigel Havers on talking about the death of Anne Kilbride? Wasn't he also on saying that he had every faith in his aunt, Baroness Butler-Sloss to chair the overarching Inquiry into how the public sector dealt with allegations of paedophilia? How does that compare to what Lord Pannick said about Grayling's new law passed yesterday would make it about the person rather than the injustices they wanted to correct or bring to the public's attention?
The killing at the office's of Charlie Hebdo will result in reductions in our freedoms and liberties, while from the other end Chris Grayling has reduced the ability to bring public institutions to account for their decisions or failings?

He gave a speech and awarded the prizes at my school prize giving ceremony when I was about 15 I think. I didn't win anything.
Everyone was a loser at my school. They believed in killing mediocrity. No point in a prize giving ceremony when the best of the best was st (We once played Rugby against another local school and lost 156 - NIL) Actually my dad was really into computing in a big way (he was a senior systems analyst back in the late 70's for Littlewoods Empire) and he managed to get his employer to offer a prize fund for computing, the idea being that they put £1000 in the bank and the prize was paid from the interest. The head told him, that they didn't encourage elitism. Yeah that's why the best teachers taught extra lessons the A level students likely to get into Oxbride (or as I like to call them Fester and Fatso), and the st teachers taught the "rems" (or as I like to call them Scar face and Killer).

Blimey, you guys didn't take long to lay into him! I'd expected some fawning from PH at the passing of a senior figure from the Thatcher years.
There's been no obvious shortage of senior politicians praising him in the media this afternoon.
Hopefully we'll see if there is a case to be made against him if ever this historic abuse enquiry ever gets off the ground.
Some would say his death is a little convenient..... No names to be able to be named!!!There's been no obvious shortage of senior politicians praising him in the media this afternoon.

There does seem to be a very muted response from the media.
Maybe they just don't know which way to lean?I'm not sure Ken Clarke's statement helps.
'Nonsense'? So Sir Cyril Smith never existed and never had a thing for young boys?

Was the opposition Rugby coach suspended?http://www.examiner.com/article/arroyo-valley-high...
This Mail (I know) article seems to have been written by someone sitting on the fence. Vaguely mentions allegations without falling on either side
