Don't think this has been posted yet, but it made me laugh when I heard it on the news today

I can't help but agree that he is completely right, caravans are fking awful things, but what a gaff - he must have known he'd get binned off from the event. £10,000 down the drain!
Speaking of caravans though, I can't think of a worse way to have a holiday, who'd want to be stuck in one of those miserable stboxes?

I have no idea why Mears was thought to be pro-caravan.
You watch any of his stuff and it's all outdoorsman, bushcraft and various forms of wild camping.
Parents live in chapel through the summer on one of these sites. I fully understand what Mears is saying. It's like some White box graveyard in some parts. Yet an idilic tucked away little camping site for caravans is normally pleasant and inoffensive enough to go unnoticed.

Stuck in one of those things, why would anyone be stuck in one, every one I have seen has had a door to enable the occupants to get out, and honestly, you can't think of a worse way to have a holiday ? You clearly lack imagination !Nothing wrong with caravans, a modern caravan is a great way to have a holiday.
I can take my wife and dog with me, one of which is not welcome in many hotels, our caravan has everything I need for a week or more away from home.

Much better than the 10 day all inclusive to what ever stty island Thomson take you to.
Although I wouldn't stay in a static caravan in Cornwall, not my thing!
