Here is another good article...
Do you have any thoughts of your own?
He does but I think he finds it safer to hide behind internet links -

"Honestly everybody, I'm not a vile little bigot. I'm normal. Look - other people think the SAME as me".
Keep that head in the sand. It is very easy for you progressive denialists to take the supposed moral high ground.

And yes I do have my own opinions. I want my kids to be taught proper subjects not garbage about the failure that is multiculturalism and other ste such as transgender and homosexual tosh.
I think you were doing better when you kept those opinions rather thinly cloaked behind the weblinks.

So when you were 9 what did you know about other religions and different sexual tendencies? Myself not one eyeota.

How would you feel if a stranger was quizzing your 9 year old about such topics?

Do you really think that this is being rammed down your childrens throat from 9am to 4pm, 5 days a week? Or do you think that it might just be a very small part of their education?

I'm starting to think that just like the Amish, theres a British group of UKIPpers who are desparate to live their lives in the manner of 1950's Britain. Perhaps you should all go live on a remote island and drive Morris Minors, beating their children for talking back, riding around in steam trains, stopping their women from working, going to church on Sunday and imprisoning homosexuals? How about the Isle of White(*1)?

(*1) A brilliant pun, even if I do say so myself smile

Ha very funny again. So I am tin foil hat wearing Amish because I don't support schools teaching Wahhabism and school inspectors asking 9 year olds there sexual preference and knowledge of Islam.

Anyhow enjoy your weekend I'm sure you have some homework to mark.

I knew that other religions existed, and that they were all nonsense. I also knew about other sexual tendencies, primariy thanks to lightweight comedy characters such as John Inman and finding a massive stash of hedge porn (oh happy days!) smile

Incidentally, I also knew how to spell Iota, but that's because I went to one of those rubbish state schools that tried to turn me into a queer muslim.

How would I feel about my 9 year old being quizzed on such matters? Well, if it was a desk lamp and full jack boots session, then obviously not happy, but then I expect OFSTED inspectors are pretty good at carefully asking the right questions to understand the level of exposure. Of course, you wouldn't know that the inspectors are skilled professionals that work with children all day long after reading the frothing rabid pulp articles you posted.

Going back to your original post, this is not about Islamic teaching, but about your assertion that Christian schools are being bullied/picked on by OFSTED. OFSTED had a very good reason for investigating those schools which is supported by much evidence. On the other hand you have decided to believe some tinfoil wearing right wing non-websites who are obviously promoting an unbiased view for political effect.

I am not a teacher, but I'll mark your work so far :

Enthusiasm : 10/10
English language skills : 7/10
Use of source material : 3/10
Critical thinking : 3/10

Jogon is enthusiastic in his views, but fails to support his viewpoint with serious source material. He lets his underlying right wing viewpoint undermine his critical thinking when reviewing source material, which often leads him to making invalid conclusions.

Now, I'm off home to suppress the wife, beat the children and put on a dress.

I didn't think they still actually marked stuff, can't have people failing!

It's really a question of whether one expects a school to teach subjects that may be of use in later life.
Or should a liberal agenda agenda be allowed.
I've nothing against liberals (well not much) but forcing multiculturalism on school kids is, as I see it, propaganda.
Kids are generally good at integrating, let them get on with it.
But.
So while Rupert and Sarah learn that Samir prays muliple times a day. What does Samir learn about English culture?

Of course there is always the view of the teachers

Jogon - have you actually read the schools inspection reports?
They are pretty eye-opening, even if you believe the 'being picked on because they are Christian' smokescreen.
