67 year old pensioner mugged on his doorstep, and (understandably) afraid to go home:

Young lady sets up donation page, and off it goes; is it my eyes, or is it dusty in here:

Wonderful. Should be able to find a nice secure place now.

And I hope the worthless piece of s**t who attacked him is found.

This is fantastic, but I hope he has somebody looking out for him to help him manage the cash. He's going to be a magnet for leaches and some real s now.

Out of interest, how do we know the guy gets it and not the person who set up that page? I've never seen that site before.

What kind of world do we live in - that someone feels the need to mug a disabled pensioner?
Everyone needs to feel safe in their own home.

Wonder whatever social services he gets now will be pulled from him, as his net worth takes him out of whatever support he may get. Great what social media can do though.

Seriously... is he even going to get any of the money? Or is he going to be forced to now pay for his own care? Are all these mugs just donating back to the government for a bit of personal feel good factor?

With loads of peoples elderly relatives being forced to pay for their own care its a very valid question. Why the fk would a tax payer want to give this old bloke £20 if he's not even going to get to spend it?
