Interview with Alan Barnes
Alan Barnes gave Claire Barber a cheque for £6,100. Ms Barber had told Alan to write the cheque for £6,100. It was Alan’s idea, he said, as a way to try and settle the dispute.
He said: “I thought somebody must do something here, I’ve got to do something otherwise it’s going to get worse and worse.
”Claire Barber said it wasn’t my bill to pay but she accepted it.
“They can say what they like, but I still did it my way. The way I wanted it done [on why he gave Barber the cheque and not Cutler].”
