So the social workers have followed the legal framework properly (something they're often criticised for not doing) and the root cause of the problem is in the law which requires giving the parent the right to apply for access, even if the child is the result of rape.
But I thought I read somewhere that the council could have applied to the court to not do so. Then again, this is the council that spent thousands on injunctions to stop us finding out about these men, they do seem to have a vested interested in them.BlackLabel said:
More from Rotherham....
A member of the House of Lords will go on trial in December charged with historical sexual offences against children.
Well, that kind of ticks almost every conspiracy theory about CSA there's been.A member of the House of Lords will go on trial in December charged with historical sexual offences against children.

He was only a child himself, at the time. A member of the House of Lords will go on trial in December charged with historical sexual offences against children.

He was only a child himself, at the time. He was 15-17 when the alleged offences took place - one of the victims was, at the time, a boy under 11 and the other a girl under 13.

Unless there is more to it, I would say this is ridiculous. How can something like that be proven beyond all reasonable doubt?
Fair point however the CPS wouldn’t proceed if they didn’t think they could win so you’d assume there’s more to it.Also, given the ages of those involved and the fact that his brothers are in the dock with him it would suggest that the victims were family members. And it’s not that uncommon for sex abusers to be prosecuted years after the intrafamilial childhood abuse took place.
