it's not going to be a whole lot of fun being a lefty or a 'certain type' of immigrant soon.

I've said it before - Swedes are prone to extremism.
For that bit at least, good. The ones who sold the country down st creek deserve anything coming to them.

BBC Radio 4 did a quite detailed piece on PM tonight, about the nightly trouble in Gothenburg. They followed and interviewed police and migrants. Apparently rival gangs of up to 100+ are fighting in the town including the main shopping mall and robbing shoppers/passers by.

The Chief of Police admitted he wouldn't want his family there which is telling (out of control?) and one migrant admitted they (all, was the implication) carry knives and some have guns - including inside the shopping mall.

Surprise, surprise this "nighty occurrence" is mainly due to 'unaccompanied young men' from Afghanistan, Morocco and Syria, of which c. 40,000 to 60,000 were admitted last year. Why the hell are Moroccans and Afghans allowed in? Afghanistan has a democratic govt. (ha, ha) and isn't a war zone (ha, ha, ha) and Morocco?

Was it Syria or Somalia?

The presenter said it was mainly from Morocco, Afghanistan and Somalia. The Gothenburg police chief said they were mainly from Afghanistan and Syria.

A "15 year old" Somalian has been charged with the murder of a female worker at the migrant centre in Gothenburg last month.

Starts around the 22 minute mark.

The report is talking about Nordstan shopping mall, the place is a utter disgrace. I have stopped walking through there on my way to work and back. There are groups of young men wondering around and you know they are not their for shopping, I don't feel safe in there.

Part of the problem is they leave it open at night which seems like a very stupid thing to do, it is a place for people to congregate and they should stop that. I would open the place at 10 in the morning when the shops open and close it at 8pm and make sure everyone is out in the cold, they will soon get bored/cold.

Russian methods may not be subtle, but it gets the message across effectively, about what is acceptable behaviour in society. I suspect this will be the last time they attempt a group sexual assault in Russia, well once they they are released from hospital that is.

Nordstan is the one next to Central Station isn't it? Why would they leave it open 24 hours, it's almost as if they want people hanging out there!

Yep right next to the station, I used to pass through it at around 06.30 in the morning and there were all sorts of strange characters milling about, people asleep on the benches and in shop door front and some sorry old guy washing the steps down everyday where people had urinated and god knows what else over the night.

It seems like such a bad idea to keep it open at night, it just gives these people a warm place to congregate and cause problems.

It's probably a Swedish thing. "Nobody's using it, so let's allow the poor homeless people to get in and keep warm at night".

I did find the comment "people have the right, to be educated in a language they understand" perfect for Western European sensibilities.

I see that article links to another stating refugees are responsible for less than 1% of crime. Considering how much of their shenanigans aren't recorded as crimes, I'm surprised it's as high as 1%. How stupid does the government think people are?

It's heartbreaking and just so fked up, so contrary to any natural justice or power of reason.

But what can you do when your government and all the institutions of state are complicit in the madness?

If what that woman is saying is true, then surely the French government are no longer fit for purpose? I thought the first rule of government was to ensure the people who voted for them (and those that didn't) are kept safe and are allowed to go about their business as long as they stay within the law - and of course, are protected by the laws of the country.

What this illustrates (again, if true), is that the government/civil servants now view their own indigenous population (French citizens, no matter what creed/colour/race) as second class citizens, with a preference for those that are non-indigenous.

I do not understand, I do not know why some countries are doing their level best to destroy the fabric of their own societies. Is something bigger going on here?

A great final question. There has to be more to this - and I'm no tinfoiler - but there must be a strategy. Shirley?
