During the latest riots in the suburbs of Stockholm, there was an article about a couple of Somali origin men visiting from Finland. When they heard about the police being attacked they said words to the effect of 'attacking the police with bricks and stones, no never, you are afraid of the (Finnish) police'. hehe

This guy is called Tim Pool, he took up the challenge of Paul Joseph Watson to go to Sweden and do some reporting. The videos he made are very good and show a very dark unwillingness in the Swedish people to call a spade a spade.

Say what now?
I've linked the story with the title ; "Neo-Nazi threats force Jewish group in Sweden to close" to a thread titled "Can we talk about Sweden for a bit?".

What's confusing you?

There are problems on both sides in Sweden. SÄPO (the Swedish secret service) seems to put islamic extremists at the top spot on the most dangerous list though, but AFA (militant left) and far right wing nazis are not to be taken lightly either.

One possible explanation to the jewish persecution could be the official standpoint, Israel is evil and oppressive, which can be seen as a carte blanche to these acts.

I remember something similar in my time in Germany. There were a few friends of the chap i was volunteering with, they were told by their employer that any antimigrant facebook material was the ground for sacking.

Speak the wrong thing in Europe and they will morally bury you.

Additional link on BBC under Europe that probably covers elections in France, being fairly important event?

To be honest didn't even notice that part before you mentioned it, and didn't get the question.
Now that I've seen it again, seems logical to me to put it there. Could be because I think that BBC is like the best thing ever since NHS.

well there is a rising swell of extreme right support - though 'amusingly' as mentioned in the beeb article the neo-Nazis and the Islamonutters do have common ground

It is just a matter of time that (violent) protestors start wearing these. And then it makes a mockery of our security. CCTV, facial recognition, eye witness etc

I do hope this happens and we can get rid of this garment from our society.

You can wear what you like - but identity is important And you must be able to be identified in public. This garment is specifically designed to thwart this.

I lived in the Middle East for over 13 years. I wish I'd had the bottle to go through with my plan to rob a bank.

Three or four skinny blokes in the ninja get up, easy to not only conceal faces but also weapons. The banks have terrible security and the guards are useless, so that bit would be easy, then serenely make our way to a white Toyota Camry with blacked out windows. The worse the driving the more likely it is to be 'normal' and you'd instantly blend into the traffic.

The Police are so inept that within a few days they'd have fitted someone up to prove they're not, in fact, inept (amazing how many 'confessions' were gleaned by the Police in the news) and you'd be away.

The only way it would work is the ready made disguises that no one will ever question.
