Haha, same here. Doing a Julbord for everyone on 24th and then a "proper" Christmas Dinner on 25th for the missus' siblings and their partners. I think I'm going to be spending a lot in Systembolaget on Saturday laugh

To be fair, I experienced exactly that feeling, including just knowing I was being insulted (in Polish) as I walked past two gurning, cocky scumbags seated aimlessly on a wall, as I walked into the centre of Southampton from one of the grottiest Travel Lodges ever, several years ago. And that doesn't include the massive horse drawn traffic stopping Gypsy funeral corteges on the way back!

Whatever ails Stockholm I'd take it over Southampton any day!
Sheesh, glad I left the place.

Haha, happy days! That's nicer than the Apotekarnes one, too.

I'm doing my first Julbord this year, missus is helping with the meatballs but I'm doing the rest.
Can't get excited about Julmust, seems to taste like something from the dentist! But Julbord is happening this year and I am also doing a "British" Christmas Day lunch for my Swedish family, they go crazy for Bisto and the stuffing balls, it is quite fun to watch them scoff it all down!
You're lucky to get the option, if I served up the several types of pickled sild, smoked eel, Janssons Frestelse, reindeer sausage and all the other traditional dishes, our lot would turn their noses up. They might pick at just the Prinskorv and the potatoes. Heathens.

Although having discovered Ocado doing Julmust this morning, just seen they do quite a decent range of stuff.

Why are you so shamelessly trying to offend those who do not eat pork? It's as if you have learned nothing from your politicians.

Seriously, has that not been banned in Sweden, yet?

I didn't even know they sold that stuff. I can't stand it, but the missus loves it. PM me your address and I'll send you some over next week, just let me know if it's milk or dark that you prefer.

Yep they've gone for own branded stuff only. Major export route now cut off to some manufacturers. Mistake imo.

We have a dozen people coming on Sunday and I have decided to go Swedish with a side of Salmon, cucumber in light vinegar and dill, Janssons Temptation, meatballs and maybe some homemade pickled herring.

What else do you all suggest?
