Pretty much, yes, in that black/Latino/other ethnic groups tend to be at the poorer end of the community, find it harder to have the right ID...
Sounds like bo11ocks to be honest. IME you need a drivers license or passport to do pretty much anything in the US.The survey here - http://www.latinodecisions.com/blog/2012/03/21/rac... - makes interesting reading. 96% of whites in Texas had acceptable ID for voting, compared to 91% of Latinos and Asians. A noticeable enough difference.

Find it harder to have the right ID my arse. People who drive have a drivers license, A non driver ID is typically less than 3 bucks per year.
People squawked cos they hadn't bothered to register, people squawked cos they had abused the system, and the Dems came over all righteous and defensive because they knew that it was harder to rig the vote if IDs had to be produced.
As you normally speak through your arse I'm not surprised you reference it. You're speaking through it again of course. If you're poor and don't drive you don't have a drivers license. If you don't have a drivers license you don't have photo ID. State issued photo ID typically costs about $50 which you don't have if you're poor and struggle to buy food. If you don't have photo ID you can't vote in many republican states. Poor people who don't drive are predominantly black. Black people predominantly vote democrat. It's why republican states have rushed to pass voter ID laws. You don't have to be smart to work it out so even you can have a stab at it.People squawked cos they hadn't bothered to register, people squawked cos they had abused the system, and the Dems came over all righteous and defensive because they knew that it was harder to rig the vote if IDs had to be produced.
Voter fraud doesn't exist by the way. Well, not the kind you mean anyway. Denying the right to vote to people of color is voter fraud but you don't care about that. There have been numerous studies and "voter fraud" (i.e. people pretending to be someone else) doesn't exist. Between 2000 and 2014 there were 31 individual cases reported in all elections (local, state, federal). That's 31 out of over 1 billion ballots and even some of those were probably misunderstandings. But many republican states have introduced or tried to introduce legislation since Obama was elected.
I'm sure you won't let inconvenient facts get in the way of your bigotry and racism.

Less than half of all US citizens have passports and the number getting driving licences is falling rapidly ( http://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2016...
In NY at least you can go to the DMV and get a non-drivers photo id for a few bucks. It's hardly an onerous condition if thats what you need to do to vote. fblm said:

If Cletus the slack jawed local can get ID to vote then nobody should have an excuse.
Some blacks and Latinos may be poor but at least their house doesn't have wheels.
Some would say it's funny when someone says they are poor but are wearing $150 trainers or have $1000 worth of weaves. Its a case of priorities.

With this in mind, the voter ID laws prevent eligible citizens from voting due to their economic situation / transport arrangements. What must be remembered is that voting is a right, not a privilege and whilst I don't agree with a huge amount of what unrepentant mentions on this forum - this is a serious issue and must be rectified.

Leaving aside the emotion, do you dispute what's said re the US and voter ID?John Oliver give a brilliant lil video on how some states are actively trying to disenfranchise certain groups.

Google shows he is wrong on both the voter faud question and cost of ID. But hey, our hero is busy fapping himself blind over his pictures of HRC, so lets not expect too much by way of sense from him.
