Very interesting development , they have never done this before

Early Monday morning, the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement Council made a huge announcement that rocked the political world.

“We hereby endorse Donald J. Trump, and urge all Americans, especially the millions of lawful immigrants living within our country, to support Donald J. Trump, and to protect American jobs, wages and lives,” the organization’s president, Chris Crane, wrote in a statement published at DonaldJTrump.com.

Old news, Bloomberg reported it last week. Who cares anyway? Just about every other union and every other organization of note has endorsed his opponent. He's said he'll employ thousands more of these people do of course their trade union have endorsed him!

Sorry if it has been discussed, but found this amusing. It's a link to my preferred online betting website, with odds for what quotes might be said during the live debate.

Brexit is 7/1!

I've just checked the Hillary debate odds with my bookie

4/1 - No show
3/1 - Depart for "toilet break"
1/2 - Lose train of thought
6/1 - Enter trance-like state for at least 5 seconds
10/1 - Drop like a sack of spuds
1000/1 - Make at least 1 truthful statement

She should move to Hollywood with those acting skills!

I sincerely hope for an interesting and balanced debate on policies etc but I think Mrs Clinton will have to make a seismic change of direction if shes not going alienate more of the US electorate. .

It's such an absurd premise because obviously he's not going to win.

But...

If enough Americans did completely lose their minds to the extent that the unthinkable happened I would pack an arsenal and a few cases of decent Pinot Noir (Oregon) and decamp post haste to my cabin in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee and prepare for the inevitable apocalypse.
Tennessee, no country for old liberals
No, you have it all wrong. I like to exercise the big cat on the Tail of the Dragon then put on some plaid and my snakeskin boots and mosey on down for some good ole Bar-B-Q with my Southern homies before climbing back up the mountain to Chez Unrep. I fit in real well with the locals who all seem like decent liberal folks, if a bit pale in complexion.

Well, it's a fairly tame debate so far.

Coke habit.

He's pathetic. She speaks fluently and cogently on policy, he waffles about what he may have said to Hannity and hectors and lies. Holt should have cut him off a number of times as he rambled.

Rambled and dug himself deeper in the Mire. If only he had Policies that would dig him out..
Thankfully he doesn't.

His biggest achievement and something to be proud of is getting Obama to share his Birth Certificate. Unbelievable..!

He did himself no favors tonight. The Trumpfanistas will not see it but he will have put off indy's and that's what it's all about. If 5ohmustang and his ilk was impressed it's irrelevant, they really don't matter at this stage. I'd be shocked if the polls don't move away from him again by the end of this week.

61% think Trump did better here

Watched most of the debate this morning and I think Clinton had a good showing on the night. But it is all about expectations Trump was reasonable respectful to Clinton (calling her Secretary Clinton) throughout and kept things together. Many of Trump's policy positions are very popular, it is the person presenting them that is the problem for most Americans.

Local radio summed it up well - the winner was Trump's make-up and hair stylist team. Then Trump, then 'Secretary Clinton'.

I think it must be like picking a turd up from the clean end but on balance could America stand another dem administration and even worse with the dreadful clinton ???
the dreadful Obarma was bad enough .... If I had the vote it would be Trump...

Interesting fact check of the debate here http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/debate-fact-check-d... . I don't think it'll come as the greatest surprise that Trump doesn't come out of this too well...

Telling the truth - yes, if only, but these are politicians and once over the rubicon it's merely a matter of how many porkies.

What impact will this have on voters? Are Americans more diligent than Brits, poring over fact-checkers and voting on the basis of boxes ticked?

Clinton brought up some 'fact' from the 70s, that's worse than Labour's obsession with Thatcher (mainly 80s).
