I hope Trump wins
economically I think his ideas are going to broadly sensible
politically it has the potential to make the cuban missile crisis look like a friendly jape

Trump has no chance whatsoever but his ideas would be broadly bonkers. He's a fool with an ego bigger than NYC. He's already bragged that he has a Gucci store "worth more than Mitt Romney". That's about the level of his debate.
He's not in it to win anyway. He's in it for the publicity and adoration from the brain dead on the right.

I'm 73% Sanders, 70% Rand Paul, Hillary 66%. I'm not sure what that says about me. How would I be viewed in the US?
Commie. I'm 96% Bernie, 90% Hillary. For some reason I'm 5% with Ted Cruz which I fking object to! I'm 39% with Christie on the economy and environment.
Most Brits would swing more towards Bernie and Hillary with a bit of Rand thrown in because he's basically a Libertarian.

That illustrates the difference the Atlantic makes. Over here I'm right of centre.I'm 96% Bernie, 90% Hillary. For some reason I'm 5% with Ted Cruz which I fking object to! I'm 39% with Christie on the economy and environment.

I'm not surprised at those numbers. The right here are very right, way right of the Tories. Most things that the dems are trying to achieve have already been achieved in the UK. Someone like Ted Cruz would be on his own on a UK axis, way to the right of any of the current parties whereas Hillary would line up about level with most UK "Conservatives".
74% Bernie Sanders
72% Rand Paul
67% Hillary Clinton
62% Marco Rubio
56% Scott Walker
Just goes to show my own political leanings (secular, socially liberal, economically conservative) would be even harder to deal with in the States. I'm sure Sanders and Paul are considered to be polar opposites in the US.
I'm thrilled to announce that Doug LaDouche has thrown his hat into the ring.
Doug made his announcement exclusively on the Indianapolis based nationally syndicated Bom & Tom show yesterday.
Vote Doug. You know it makes sense.

The comedy institution that is SNL will be calling him all sorts of names - "LaDoucheBag" would be one for starters. I could see a mock debate between "TheDonald" & "LaDoucheBag".
I still think of Daryl Hammond being Al Gore and talking about hanging chads and Will Ferrell saying the Bush administration would bring"strategery".
Comedy gold is going to hit the airwaves soon I think.
