So now Obama is 'pathetic' for visiting Hiroshima and should have mentioned Pearl Harbour while he was there!

He's appealing to the Birther Brigade. They're exceptionally vile.

IMO the exact opposite is true. Debating Sanders would have been a monumental fkup. Sanders is strong where Trump is weak. Trump has just managed to get the benefit of associating himself with Sanders in the mind of many voters (addressing his lack of "seriousness"), with none of the risks of an actual debate.

Most will not care (or even remember) that they did not actually debate.

Surely Trump should have known the debate was pointless when he agreed to it? Or does he think the US public are so uninterested/stupid /gullible that they'll forget that bit..

I answered that in the first post. It was a calculated move by him to associate himself positively with Sanders, someone who has credibility in areas Trump does not. No one will remember or care that they did not debate. They will simply remember that they were supposed to, and Trump is mentally associated with that event. It is a win-win for him.

And yes, the US public are that stupid and disinterested. How is that even a question at this point?

It's a sad state of affairs that Trump is probably the only person that will save us from the climate change 'saviours'!

It takes somebody of Trump's intelligence to recognise the " real truth" about climate change wink

No it takes Primary school basics - the principle of causality. So many, so lacking. Are you including yourself?

Apologies if I've missed something but where does it say what her political, affiliations are?

She actually comes across as perfect "redneck birther" material.

One liners and a lack of specific critical comment - this speaks for itself. If it was that good it will have touched more than two nerves, must take a look.

Not quite.

As I haven't had time to view the entire press conference, here's something from the CNN website which at least puts the other side, and taking both sides at face value the criticism is because of anti-Trump politicised action that a "Latino lawyers group" (of which the judge is a member) has been engaged in. Is that the sort of political neutrality expected of judges in the USA?

CNN said:
"I think what's really interesting about this particular judge -- as Mr. Trump refers to him as a 'Trump hater' -- is he even mentions on his judicial questionnaire that he was a La Raza Lawyers Association member," Pierson said, apparently referring to the questionnaire Curiel filled out when his confirmation was being considered by the Senate. "This is an organization that has been out there organizing anti-Trump protesters with the Mexican flags -- they are pushing it. The signs have been very apparent. And so Mr. Trump is just stating the obvious."

CNN has reached out to the La Raza Lawyers Association's national office and the San Diego chapter, but calls were not immediately returned.

Billary is also a bit shy over her own generosity after Trump revealed not only where his raised funds had gone but also his personal $1m donation.

CNN also said:
She said "of course" she had contributed personally as well. But she didn't provide further details, such as how much she donated and to whom.
No doubt the USA media will be explicitly looking into this evasive response.
