Anyone heard the latest? Trump has effectively called on Russia to carry out espionage in the USA.

The man is a liability for the world. I cannot see how any sane person can vote for him.
Game over for Trump, given the current climate of fear & insecurity. The Democrats won't stop reminding voters of this.

Bernie supporters stage walkout. If we weren't in the middle of our own Brexit/Labour/EU implosion I think I'd feel sorry for the Americans.

well, making friends with Russia would actually make the world a lot safer
why does that sound like such a sensible idea but not one which will happen. We have so much in common with Russia and the way the world is going we definitely have a common enemy.
Russia is ruled by a dictator for the benefit of a mafia oligarchy. The ruling powers have no hesitation in assassinating its own citizens at home or abroad if they dare challenge that oligarchy. They have no compulsion in invading other countries. The only thing they would accept is a vassal state which is subservient to their kleptocracy.

By friendship do you mean unconditional surrender?

On Hillary's personal server, not "on America". The server from which she deleted 33,000 emails before the FBI seized it. The Chinese and Russians already have those, the same as Julien Assange. The DNC is in chaos, so I understand your need to distract. hehe

Something I don't understand about Trump's tax returns - apparently he can't release them because they're "under audit" ignoring for one second the fact that this is bull5h1t, why can't he release prior year tax returns! Surely they can't ALL be under audit?
Trump won't release his tax returns because;

A. They show that his earnings do not reflect those of a "billionaire"

B. His tax rate and total tax paid are an embarrassment and symptomatic of what is wrong with our tax system

C. Far from being a generous philanthropist he gives nothing to charity

It's nothing to do with an "audit" and it's going to become a yuge issue in the next 3 months.
BUT, we won't see the Dems pushing this because Clinton will not release transcripts of speeches Wall St. firms paid her to give because they show her support for Wall Street. This goes totally against the Bernie votes she needs and is a slap in the face to that dingbat Elizabeth Warren.

I don't believe so; that goes for Trump as well imo. Both are 70 years old. Not that 74 would be too old, just not sure if they would want to go another four.

It wasn't just the Dems pushing this. I seem to recall some fairly senior GOP members suggesting that not releasing the tax returns should disqualify him from being a candidate.

There will be a cacophony of voices calling for it and pointing out why he won't release them. Speeches? Utter crap. There is no requirement to publish speeches, there IS a requirement for candidates to be transparent on their financials.

I can't see Trump staying in the race until November. He's clearly gone mad calling for Russian espionage against the United States. The FBI should be investigating (apparently they are) and there is no way at all that he should be receiving even the watered down security briefings that they plan to give him. He is not capable of receiving such briefings and the national security of the USA would be compromised if he were to be given them.

This is true sir. It would seem to be a good topic for the Dems to use; however, I don't think they will so as to not have the hidden speech transcripts used against them. Sort of MADD on the political front.

No, the speeches issue is not "crap". It speaks to the heart of her intent. She was literally paid millions by Wall St. and her speeches reflects her support of them ( which I happen agree with her on btw). However, these speeches go against the Warren/Bernie supporters' values.
As to tax returns, contrary to what you said, no, they are not a required document for a Presidential candidate. That said, I believe he should release them.
Espionage against the U.S.??? No. He called for her illegal personal server information to be released, the 33,000 emails she dumped before the FBI grabbed her server. The Russians, Chinese, and Julien Assange already have these anyway.

Don't forget that they subverted the govt. in Ukraine and ousted a democratically elected president. More neocon handiwork.

I personally find this to be one of the funniest stories of the election cycle. Is there anywhere the Russians aren't supposedly "meddling" anymore? The sea of morons that is the US electorate will eat this up. laugh

I think Trump is a bad joke but get a grip. Russia arn't going to 'hack America' because Trump asked them to, I think they might have done it already. Maybe. Anyway surely if all those deleted emails are recovered HC can be properly and fully exonerated right? Right?

Great speech by Admiral Hutson skewering Trump on his lack of security credentials and his unsuitability to be President. "Donald Trump "you're not fit to polish John McCain's shoes". On Trump's treasonous call for Russia to hack America "That's not law and order, that's criminal intent".

That was followed by a great speech by Leon Panetta skewering Trump on his lack of security credentials and his unsuitability to be President. "THis is no time to gamble with our future".

Followed by a great speech from Joe Biden. Very moving about his son and about Obama and Clinton. He also skewered Trump on his utter and complete lack of ability and unsuitability to hold office.

Mike Bloomberg, a real business success (50 x richer than Trump and self made) just skewered Trump on everything! "I'm a successful business man and I know a con when I see one". He gave a fulsome endorsement of Clinton and suggested we need to elect a "SANE competent person". That's not you Donald.

Obama and Kaine to come, what a great night.

Awesome speech by President Obama. Hard hitting, powerful, inspiring, poignant and unequivocal in his support. The whole crowd on its feet for much of it. If anyone is going to get the very important African American vote out it's POTUS.

So at these conventions Hillary has had three Presidents speak for her, the current vice president, respected senators and governors, military leaders and leaders of commerce like Mike Bloomberg. And those people are going to be on the trail for the next 3 months. Meanwhile Trump has the bloke off Duck Dynasty, a Z list actor who was last heard of in 1980, Newt Gingrich and Mike Pence, a governor so unpopular that he was going to lose his re election campaign in Indiana, one of the reddest of red states. All former republican presidents and nearly all senior GOP figures want nothing to do with him.

The next President speaks tomorrow night.

All of this is true but we have allied with them in the past when they were lead by worse regimes. The reason why is because it was in our interests to do so.

What are the essential western interests served by confronting Russia?. Sadly I think too many still have some sort of cold war mentality.

Putin is desperate to have a weak and frankly ignorant person in the White House. Hillary Clinton with her experience is a nightmare for him.

You couldn't make it up. I'd be gobsmacked if Russia didn't already have a mountain of dirt on Hillary. I'd be gobsmacked if the intelligence agencies across the world weren't reading the emails flowing through her private server.

How, exactly, is Hillary a nightmare for Russia when they have plenty of material to blackmail her with?

Why, exactly, would Hillary be a nightmare for Russia considering their past.

Their past?

When she sold Uranium to them of course!
