Moment of the debate for me, when Hilary was talking about the last tax return Trump released, years ago, where he did not pay much tax, and he said, (almost involuntarily) ’that makes me smart’. True colours came right out there…………………..

The other one, he said ‘I did a great service’ on getting Obama to release his birth certificate. Disgusting. The only good thing I can see coming from any of this is I think Obama will be held in higher regard in years to come, for his intelligence and inherent dignity.
I'd be astonished if Hillary's campaign team didn't use both those moments in television adverts, as well as the time Trump again referred to the multi-million dollar loan from his father as "small", having not disputed her figure of $14M.

in the US you pay 2 lots of tax i think, seems no different to Amazon paying no tax, at least he is honest about it.

Then he needs to be honest and release his tax returns. There's no legal reason at all he can't, he just doesn't want people to know how little tax he pays and how small his charitable donations actually are.

If President.

Clinton - she will get her way to do what she wants.
Trump - he won't get his way to do what he wants.

So America, what do you want?

Yeah, I'm surprised that a poll on that site has so many votes for Clinton too. I'm sure I could find a poll on HuffPo or similar which was pretty much the reverse.

Why does the wannabe American prepper think that posting a Drudge Report poll will convince anyone but the Trump fans?

Nice bunch aren't they.
It is amazing. My favorite bit so far is the IT guy asking for advice on email scrubbing on Reddit.

Looking forward to the big Wikileaks dump.

Of course The Drudge Report users are voting that Trump won the debate. The Drudge Report is a right-wing website. I expect that Breitbart say that Trump won the debate too.

Amazingly, Breitbart is only 75% in favour of Trump. That's if you can find the poll amongst all their stories about how the debate was biased, the moderator pro-Clinton, etc.

That's a nice big picture.. Source? So Trump got asked more questions - presumably as he's the big outsider, challenging the establishment, there's some sense in that. Giving him the space to sell himself to the public.

Equally, it could just be because he kept interrupting Clinton so many times that they decided there wasn't much point asking her..

At Monday night’s presidential debate, by our count, Donald Trump interrupted Hillary Clinton 25 times in the first 26 minutes of the debate.
By the time the debate was over, Trump had interrupted Clinton 51 times — whereas Clinton had interrupted Trump just 17 times

DELETED: Comment made by a member who's account has been deleted.
Virtually all of the media have Hillary winning it and virtually all the online polls of actual voters have Trump winning it, make of that what you will.

As I have said before it is not as simple as who won the debate as if this were a sixth form debating class. Both candidates have very different starting points. Clinton as the candidate of an increasingly despised establishment at a time when over two thirds of Americans think their country is heading in the wrong direction. Trump articulating some popular positions but very unpopular personally. Trump may not need to have "won" the debate but just appear sane and non-bigoted.

Full marks to Clinton for not losing her cool as Mr Sniffy interrupted and hectored throughout.

This was not a good night for Trump as all the credible polls and focus groups have confirmed. His bleak and dystopian view of America does not actually resonate with most people's lives and he came across as someone utterly unprepared for office.

Some of the more moronic posters on here made reference to Clinton's health in the run up to the debate - whether she would last 90 minutes etc.. In fact it was Trump with his constant sniffing, red eyes (the right one appeared to be closed for much of the time) and inability to articulate who looked ill and unfit. She remained bright focused and alert throughout, he appeared to struggle with words and attention. Which is not surprising given what we know about his totally unsuitable temperament.

The online voters are self-selecting Trump fans? Listened last night, don't know how anyone could say Trump did best.
