That many? It reinforces his credentials if so.

Being ultimately able to make a success of it through even one come-back is a sign of strength.
Lols! That's *exactly* what serial business failure signifies! So much stronger than all those wet behind the ears beginners who've never managed to preside over a business all the way into insolvency.

If i could vote, mine would be on Hillary Clinton.

Shes for gays and women even though she takes saudi cash.
She has been implicated in ruining the lives of various women who had intimate relations with good ol' Bill
She lied way back when about landing under sniper fire
She lied about Emails - to the nation and FBI
Shes a bigger race baiter than even good old Obama

I like to read USA Today at lunchtime. It's generally pretty balanced and informative. Today I nearly choked on my lentils at a couple of articles. (I think when the editorial board declared Trump unfit they really meant it!) biggrin

USA Today balanced? Yes the media is supposed to be balanced, yet in reality is never the case.

The USA Today have endorsed Killary, not very balanced is it.

Never again will I read an article from the USA today. The mainstream media is dieing. There will be those who cling to it because they are so scared of reality. A modern day Titanic.

Why would anybody even think about voting for Trump when you consider how much good Hillary can do?

Does nobody realise what an utter financial genius Clinton is?

In '78/'79, with no prior experience in trading, she turned $1,000 into $100,000 trading cattle futures.

The editor of the Journal of Futures Markets said in April 1994, "This is like buying ice skates one day and entering the Olympics a day later."

In a Fall 1994 paper for the Journal of Economics and Finance, economists from the University of North Florida and Auburn University investigated the odds of gaining a hundred-fold return in the cattle futures market during the period in question. Using a model that was stated to give the hypothetical investor the benefit of the doubt, they concluded that the odds of such a return happening were at best 1 in 31 trillion.

One in 31,000,000,000,000.

That $6,000,000,000 that went missing from the State dept whilst she was Secretary of State? She'll have that back before the end of her first week in the White House.

It's no wonder the FBI covered up the little Email mishap, they would have been robbing the American public of a life of luxury. No more poor, no more suffering. Everyone gets a happy ending!

Clinton answers to noone. She is a woman of the public. Her biggest donors are everyday people, and she will do right by them when the time comes. She will reverse the stranglehold that corporations have locked the average American into.

hippy Peace and love to all Americans. Hillary is nothing if not a staunch adversary for peace and equality for all people on this planet.

Go Killary!

Then there's the Clinton Prison Blood Scandal noone talks about.

http://www.counterpunch.org/2015/09/04/arkansas-bl...

So is this another fabricated lie? I have never known a pair in politics that have been surrounded in so much crap as these two.

There would still be people (in this thread too), saying stuff along the lines of, 'yeah but he's a straight talker and a good businessman.' biggrin

Currently on S5E4 (I think) of my annual viewing of the Sopranos, so clever, so clever. Especially when Bush and stuff comes up. Melfi has it, he has this animalistic charm which can envelope people.

If you think that's anywhere near the type of reason for starting and running your own business, and putting in serious hours (at least early on) while risking your own capital, it explains a lot.

It also explains how you wrongly think of Trump as a failure i.e. a bad businessman.

In terms of other comments and who would vote for whom, even if nationalities weren't involved (obviously) there are false assumptions at work based on responses to demonizations and character assassinations. Sloppy thinking, as usual.

Stepping aside (if I may) from the specifics of this election - I've lived in the US - but never truly understood the tendency towards dynasties - Kennedy, Bush, Clinton.

What's your view? (I am genuinely interested and setting aside specific parties if we can, though I guess you didn't live there through those presidents, I am interested in your thoughts...)

You'll find that just about every major news organization in the USA has either endorsed Clinton or condemned Trump or both. You know why? Because Trump is a joke who would turn this great country into one and anyone with an ounce of sense can see it. It makes me laugh when the gormless bleat about the media being against Trump. Of course they are, he's a fking lunatic!

WARNING might be a few naughty words
Trey Parker and Matt Stone are big Trump fans:

South Park - Trump becomes Canadian President of Canada
laugh Love the pixelated hair

Although considered foul mouthed comedy, I think that the comedy of Stone and Parker shows that there is a void between the Republicans and Democrats in politics. I read an interview a few years back where one of them said that he doesn't see why a dislike of (for example) a left wing politician/celebrity automatically makes you a right wing fanatic and vice versa. It is a shame that modern democracy puts voters into one of two camps and makes it so difficult/impossible for a third party to be in with a chance.

I think this election for many people will be a case of voting to keep one of them out.

Should start a twitter campaign to get everyone to vote for an alternative 3rd option and shock the political system biggrin

She's spent $6m on "Correcting the Record" by trolling and shilling online. I'm not sure if you use reddit, but if you do, you'd notice the insane shift in the past 6 months.

reddit previously was overwhelmingly Sanders. /r/politics was overwhelmingly Sanders, as time has progressed, especially in the past few months, /r/politics has been overrun by clinton shills. 95% of the material is now anti-trump or pro-clinton.

Currently, /r/the_donald (Trump for president subreddit) has 221k subscribers, /r/hillaryclinton (hillary for president subreddit) has 29k subscribers, and /r/sandersforpresident still has 214k subscribers.

/r/politics is a complete clinton-biased stshow now. $6m goes a long way on the internet it seems. smile

Hell, even /r/hillaryforprison has twice the subscribers (58k) of the actual hillary subreddit.

Not really. The entire Western press corps condemns Mugabe and Jong-un. They're right about them too. Is someone's a wrong un they're a wrong un and it's obvious to everyone with a brain.

What is it about Hillary that makes you believe shes not a 'wrong un'?

What did you think about Sanders?

I could completely understand if you were anti-Trump, but you're pro-Hillary - I just don't get it. Pro-Obama, cool. Pro-Hillary? Given her track record, why?

Are those numbers more to do with the entertainment value of the individual rather than demonstrating support? I'm not sure how Reddit works, I found it a bit of a pain to navigate the last time I used it!
