Trump is so desperate that he just held a kind of press conference with Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick, a woman who has a grievance because Hillary Clinton, when a public defender, did her job and defended a man who raped her and another woman. A disgusting spectacle, just described as corrosive to our civics by a senior republican. The party may have to remove him now, this is not acceptable behavior for any politician let alone a presidential candidate. Most senior republicans have now publicly abandoned Trump so they have little to lose. His only remaining tactic is a scorched earth one and he's now following that path.

That's why Brexit was seen as such a threat, absorbing the EU as a bloc after all individual national sovereignty has already been eroded would have been far easier, now the UK is not only an outlier but has reasserted national sovereignty.
