WikiLeaks: Clinton Charity Took Millions from Moroccan King in Exchange for Appearance

WikiLeaks continues to release emails from the account of John Podesta, the chair of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. One set of emails revealed Hillary Clinton secured a $12 million donation to the Clinton Global Initiative in 2015 from the king of Morocco, on the condition that she speak at an event in Marrakesh. Bill and Chelsea Clinton ultimately spoke in Hillary Clinton’s place. The donation came as Clinton prepared to announce her candidacy. On Sunday, Clinton was asked whether the donation amounted to a "pay-to-play" scheme.

Hillary Clinton: "I have nothing to say about WikiLeaks other than I think we should all be concerned about what the Russians are trying to do to our election and using WikiLeaks very blatantly to try to influence the outcome of the election."

hehe Remember when Assange was a hero for leaking the secrets of the Bush wars? Now he's trying to undermine elections alongside fellow Russian agent Jill Stein rofl

What sort of shenanigans are you expecting? The rigged voting stuff Trump is on about?
yupp, it's lot easier to rig voting in US than in UK, also check if your bet is who wins the elections or who becomes president because there is a chance he'll win but not be allowed to get into office...this or that way

P.S. I'd expect more dirty stuff about him to come out right before the elections, odds might surge a bit (to 8/1 10/1 etc.) however his chances will actually stay the same so it would be better value

How is it easier to rig voting in the US? Quite a few states require ID when voting, compared to the UK where you just need to know the name and address of someone to vote in their place.
Quite so. Its a myth trotted out with same the garbage year after year. I have to show my voter card AND a picture id, (usually a drivers licence). Addresses have to match or carry an explanation. The people working in the voter stations are very strict. In the UK state your name and address and vote, yet funnily enough you don't hear much about "voter fraud" here!

trump....I will accept the vote ....if I win! What a man.

Daily Telegraph said:
Donald Trump’s presidential campaign is facing a fundraising scandal after a Telegraph investigation exposed how key supporters were prepared to accept illicit donations from foreign backers.

Senior figures involved with the Great America PAC, one of the leading "independent" groups organising television advertisements and grassroots support for the Republican nominee, sought to channel $2 million from a Chinese donor into the campaign to elect the billionaire despite laws prohibiting donations from foreigners.

In return, undercover reporters purporting to represent the fictitious donor were assured that he would obtain “influence” if Mr Trump made it to the White House.
Dodgy. Crooked. Corrupt.

It says a lot about the Dem candidate.

Lefty indies like me can't vote for her. The Russian distraction is invoked because HRC is guilty. How a rational invidual overlooks this, I will never understand.

Once you dispel the notion that people act in any way rationally the world will start to make a lot more sense. It took me 40 years to realise that, probably due to being an "engineering" personality type for most of my life. Scott Adams is spot on.

The same Scott Adams who says he'll join the armed rebellion against Trump if Trump does anything 'Hitlerish' ?

The same Scott Adams who posed as a fan on Reddit & Metafilter to defend himself?

The same Scott Adams who said "The reality is that women are treated differently by society for exactly the same reason that children and the mentally handicapped are treated differently. It’s just easier this way for everyone. You don’t argue with a four-year old about why he shouldn’t eat candy for dinner. You don’t punch a mentally handicapped guy even if he punches you first. And you don’t argue when a women tells you she’s only making 80 cents to your dollar. It’s the path of least resistance. You save your energy for more important battles."

Yeah, sounds like someone you should trust & believe..

Why do you pick on one part of the statement (I.E. Scott Adams) and not the other? Because that's the irrational response. If you want a more lettered person to help you see the point, try Professor Robert Cialdini, he came on board with the Clinton party not long ago (he was part of Obama's pre-election campaign group)and since then she has been having way more success.

Probably because I'm fed up with the suggestion that Scott Adams is somehow the ultimate political commentator.

Fair enough. Fed up - emotional response. No, I was referring to his understanding of human behaviour and persuasion, on that he is on the money but only because he is following in some pretty big footsteps (like Cialdini mentioned above).

This is an interesting article, ( http://the7triggers.com/why-donald-trump-is-so-per... ) written before the Clinton campaign really got into the whole very successful "dirty old man" persuasion tactic. I have a horrible feeling that they may have gone too early with this as people soon forget and justify (irrationally) why they don't care about that anyway.

who suggested that, exactly?

we all know that unrep (and their handler source) is the ultimate political commentator round these parts.
Ok, the ultimate pro-Trump political commentator.. He's been quoted on here many times as though he's some sort of genius.

You're suggesting Adams isn't even original in his comments, rather that he's just recycling someone else's work?

Not at all, that's your confirmation bias at work (you don't like him so you're looking for more reasons to dislike him, plagiarism being a reason). I am able to strip and rebuild most engines you care to mention, does that mean I am recycling the work of Haynes the publishers? Yes I used them extensively when I was a kid but I don't need them any more. Same here, Adams has read a lot on the psychology of persuasion, hypnosis and NLP and he is using that to illustrate a viewpoint he has on the US election.

As an interesting side note, I read some of the articles about the sales techniques used the dubious Trump University course sales reps, it is pure-play emotional selling, exactly what Trump had been using to great effect in his campaign. That was, right up to the "dirty old man" obstacle, the question remains to be seen is whether this is the final obstacle in the "hero's journey" (google it) story that he has been telling throughout the campaign.

What's the next revelation that'll come out to discredit him?

I'm guessing time for another couple of pieces, something this weekend would be favorite.

This map is interesting. It's how the election would go if only millennials voted. It's the future for the GOP.
