It's nothing. The FBI are required to look at new emails that have come to light and are required to advise the committee. The republicans are leaping on it like rapid dogs as they are desperate for any crumb to try and bolster their tragic losing campaign. The America public have heard enough about emails and are simply not interested.
You do make me laugh.Northbloke said:
Well somebody thinks the FBI e-mail stuff is big news.
Trump's odds on Betfair have plummeted from 6/1 to less than 7/2 today with some huge bets of around half a million quid by the looks of it (two sides to every bet of course).
Just the bookies sucking up some cash. They know how to make a fool and his money part company.Trump's odds on Betfair have plummeted from 6/1 to less than 7/2 today with some huge bets of around half a million quid by the looks of it (two sides to every bet of course).
NYT have HRC at 92%.
The good news is if people perceive a tightening it will help with turnout. I know there has been concern about complacency and this should help with that. My wife is with the get out the vote team here and they are emphasizing that every vote counts, it's a tight race etc...
For those that missed, this also up at Wikileaks:
"An unknown entity posing as an internet dating agency prepared an elaborate plot to falsely claim that Julian Assange received US$1 million from the Russian government and a second plot to frame him sexually molesting an eight year old girl.
The second plot includes the filing of a fabricated criminal complaint in the Bahamas, a court complaint in the UK and laundering part of the attack through the United Nations. The plot happened durring WikiLeaks’ Hillary Clinton-related publications, but the plot may have its first genesis in Mr Assange’s 16 months’ litigation against the UK in the UN system, which concluded on 5 February 2016. (Assange won. The UK and Sweden lost and the US State Deptartament tried to pressure the Working Group on Arbitrary Detention (WGAD), according to its former Chair, Prof. Mads Andenas."
Smear pushed out on Dem media outlet DailyKos and associated Twitter accounts. Smear also linked to Dem Superpac with close ties to Clinton.

AP reporting that new emails didn't come from Clinton private server. The FBI statement is very ambiguous too. Looks like the press may have jumped the gun.
Quite possibly. But the salient point is that, once again, a suggestion that Clinton is/was up to something illegal is all too plausible. She's a terrible, terrible candidate whose only saving grace is that the GOP conspired to run a sociopathic sex pest against her. This truly is an appalling election.

In a nutshell. I'm struggling to recall an election with less of a "hope" theme. This truly is an appalling election.

I also disagree that she would have lost to any of the others. Cruz was second choice for the GOP and he was as unelectable as Trump. Kasich gives the impression of being a nice guy (albeit one with very strong views on abortion and a notoriously short temper) but he can't motivate his base.
