They both seem thoroughly unsuitable for high office.

We should think back to this when we complain about the state of politics in the UK sometimes.
It's obvious the system for electing the President is just not working for the people . I wouldn't trust either of them as far as I could throw them.
I think that's the difficulty here.

It doesn't matter which one of the two someone is voting for, it's a bad choice and has become a question of which is the least bad choice between someone who appears corrupt and untouchable vs. someone who has some repellent views.

Could you imagine going out on polling day feeling enthusiastic about voting for either of those pair.

often thought the way to demonstrate true democracy in the face of poor candidates is for people not to vote and the box that is always missing from the Ballot paper is "none of the above". Put that on and then make voting compulsory.

No. Abstention is a perfectly valid option.

A lack of effective opposition, someone needs to keep the g'ment in check.

Hillary called trump supporters deplorable.

Here's a video showing the awesome hillary supporters assaulting a woman who was protecting trumps Hollywood star that is childishly being attacked constantly. She's assaulted of course and laughed at. Where's trump at they shout when she's on the floor.

You seem to have linked a different video to the one you describe.

I am absolutely praying that he wins; it will be fking brilliant! I don't give a crap who wins but the wailing and ranting on FB and Tw@tter is going to be extraordinary if Trump wins. It'll be the same right-on wailers who were shouting down all the "thick" "selfish" "racist" Tories/Brexitters - if they get it wrong again they'll go into meltdown.
This 100% thumbup
It would be funny for a few weeks untill he starts a nuclear war, bet you would piss yourself then
You voted Remain, didn't you?

Trump and Putin actually like each other. Who is Trump going to start a Nuclear war with?

Clinton has a history of warmongering.

Dog Star has hit the nail on the Head.

rofl Trump seems to admire Putin, and Putin would love a Trump presidency. Not because he likes Trump but because he knows Trump would be less effective.

I really do not understand why it is a straight race between Clinton and Trump. There are more people on the ballot paper - the Libertarian for instance - who for me, despite not having a handle on foreign affairs, make much better candidates - which is not difficult.

Why are these - Johnson, Stein et al, not making more noise? Or are they, and it is just not getting reported in the UK?

Reminds me of this song lyrics. Particularly the bit in bold. ( the bit that should be in bold but isn't )

T.V. is
the stomping ground for political candidates
Where bears in the woods
are chased by Grecian Formula'd
bald eagles

T.V. is mechanized politic's
remote control over the masses
co-sponsered by environmentally safe gases
watch for the PBS special

It's the perpetuation of the two party system
where image takes precedence over wisdom
Where sound bite politics are served to
the fastfood culture

The video starts off and she's pretty aggressive herself, from what I saw only the fat mess of a bloke was actually engaging with her, he was being directed away by the tall basketball sort in good shape. Then she falls like a footballer and stays on the floor.

I'd vote for the one who is living in today's time scale and not the 90's, the one who has said they won't enforce a no fly zone over Syria and the one who has said they are more than willing to reopen a dialogue with Russia and talk with them rather at them.

Oh and I'd vote for the one who has said it is time for US administrative change.

I have often said that the American people are generous and welcoming to strangers from overseas, that they are proud of their nation and patriotic to a degree that makes this Brit jealous. BUT the governmental system has manipulated those beliefs against it's own people for decades.

I'd be surprised if Putin doesn't despise Trump.

Trump's also had positive comments from Kim Jong-Un. OTOH he seems singularly despised by most of our allies.

The one who's most likely to slide his trousers down and bend over for Putin?
