Winston - a direct question if I may. Do you think it's acceptable to refer to someone as a raving poofter?
Most of my gay mates refer to themselves as far far worse... As always it's down to context.

Do you think it's ok to lump all old people together?
Don't squirm and claim gay friends. Answer the question please. Do you support what Scuffers said?

So you would have referenced her colour but were afraid that PH would censor it?

'Am I right in assuming you're over 60?' someone said earlier. What was the implication of that then? He was going to let him know he had a bit longer to get a bus pass or draw his pension?

Come off it, you know what it meant, and it was ageist.

And as for the bit about my Chum (that's dog food isn't it?)
Don't call him my chum. I don't know him from Adam.

Oh yeah, Godwin's Law
...is how I've keyed it, not how you have. Lesson over.
Have you been drinking again? Great rant, 0/10 for coherence though.

I have a 76 year old friend who is homosexual. He is in a club that I am a member of. There are 40 of us. We all know that he is as bent as a nine bob note, and nobody has a problem.

However, he was brought up in a time when homosexuality was frowned upon. So we all pretend that we don't know.

A few years ago his long term partner passed away. None of us could attend the funeral because that would show that we knew that he was gay.

We all felt our friend's grief, but we were unable to show it.
Why were you unable to show it? What physically stopped you attending the funeral and supporting your friend?
Nothing "physically" stopped me attending the funeral.

My friend doesn't want anyone to know that he is gay.

He as born in a time when it wasn't acceptable.

I do hope that I can tell him that he is a "raving woofter" before he departs this mortal coil.

No, I insist.... After you. Do you support Countdown's discrimination against the over sixties?

Discrimination is discrimination, the subject matter isn't really relevant.

Ironic that you give an answer Blair would be proud of.

No, I don't support ageism. Your turn. But of course you won't answer. More pathetic squirming will ensue.

You might not like my answer, but it's an answer nonetheless.

Is Countdown also 'pathetic' now he's turned out to be an 'ist, or are only some 'ists bad?

A truly risible answer. You squirm like a greased piglet. Your inability to answer a straightforward question and simply acknowledge that scuffers used idiotic language is frankly disgraceful. You are exactly the same as Blair, using the same tactics of misdirection. What was your previous login? Blairout? Why was that?

I watched the BBC meet the Ukippers last night.

Could anyone confirm that the people shown in that (e.g. at the Christmas party and various meetings etc.) are typical of the type of supporters for the party?

Based on the comments made by some UKIP supporters (in this thread and elsewhere) I would say yes.

Hopeless effort - it's like Michael Howard and Paxman.

(just to clarify for you Winston, it's you I'm seeing as Howard, not 968)

So you think it's OK for Countdown to have prejudiced thoughts about the elderly do you?

I just wondered who supports his viewpoint, anyone?

Pathetic. Just answer the question with a yes or a no.

ETA - it's not even witty trolling. It's just childish.

Are you going to answer on Countdown's behalf?
